It's so common online. Have seen it happen many, many times since the early 2000's. One guy flew from Scotland to Australia to meet his "online love"...who never showed up and left him stuck and penniless at the airport! The girl whose address and photo's he had didn't have a clue who he was and didn't even own a computer. Never EVER take a relationship seriously on just text and photo's because unless they use voice, a webcam and have a valid house phone, it'll end in tears!

Having a 19 year old daughter, my heart just breaks for the parents of these intelligent and beautiful women. My god, how can these cowards live with themselves after what they’ve done? Domestic violence in relationships between young people really needs to be a topic of education so victims can recognize the signs and symptoms early on, and make sure the resources are available to help them safely leave the relationship and get the therapy they need.

When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I was the receptionist at a car dealership in my town. One of the nicer people I worked with was a man named Alan who was quite a bit older than I was. I only found out recently that a couple of years before I worked there his daughter, who would have been around my age by now, had been shot in the face and killed by her high school ex boyfriend in 1998 when she was only 16. I was in year 8 at the time. She was in the local hospital recovering from a minor spinal injury after falling from her horse, he found out where she was and took a loaded rifle to the hospital. Apparently he'd intended to shoot himself in front of her after she'd ended their relationship two weeks prior, but the gun fired accidentally and shot her in the eye, killing her instantly. Hers was the largest funeral held in my town up to that time, people were lining the streets to pay their respects to both her and her family.

@@fastinradfordable True, it may be a famous classic but it's also full of terrible examples for young people. Luckily my high school was very clear in telling us that hyperromanticised teenage love stories involving murder and double suicide was not a good example to follow in real life, but there is always the chance of some young people idealising the extremist approach in regards to their own circumstances. Unfortunately though, Adele's ex boyfriend had some serious problems separate from any literature.

The problems in such relationships begin when people start thinking that their partner somehow "completes them". When that happens, it seems all reasoning goes out the window for these individuals. Maybe, there isn't any foolproof solution to this problem. That said, it wouldn't hurt to slow things down a bit when dating someone you feel attracted to... if only to see how the relationship is really going.

5:00 This story has a good amount of incorrect information. Namely, Emma walker was in her family home, not a “dorm room”-she was 16.

I thought the same too and it went through the wall not a window. It certainly was a well good shot, sadly 😔

IDK where you got your info about Riley Gaul but he shot his ex girlfriend thru the wall of her bedroom at her parents house. She was safely tucked away in her parents house and still died...no college involved at all.

I take sneezing! Every night I get instant sleep 👌 Normally a sneeze does not come sudden... even when driving the reaction time will be enough, to stay safe... 👌

I remember the Yeardley Love murder and the the ex George Hughley, I was very shocked when he was convicted of 2nd degree murder and not 1st degree which would have been life w/o parole or death. The clip following Love, with the boyfriend taking revenge on his g/f's parents convicted of 2 counts of 1st degree murder, sentenced to death. CA has a moratorium in effect since 2006 on executions 750 or more on death row. I would think the sentence would have been life without the possibility of parole. Not waste millions of dollars in legal fees, court cost for appeals.
