Yeah as a proud owner of the challenger 3 I can say that it’s probably my favourite top tier tank due to the amazing gun and the rather quick acceleration and reverse. The only thing that bugs me is the lack of blowout panels but I think that’s something they’ll fix as I read an MOD article that stated that chally 3 has them

The in game "Challenger 3" isn't a challenger 3, it is a Challenger 2 made for the LEP program i.e. the Black Night was also made for the LEP program. Hence this "Chally 3" won't receive blowout panels as it is just a Chally 2 with a different gun and and a few other changes, this is also the reason why it went from the Challenger 3s weight of 66 tons down to 62.5 which is the same as Chally 2s.

3:54 no, its NOT the player's fault. Starstreaks phasing through planes even with a great ping has nothing to do with teapaches using it on ground targets. Infact that shitty change did nothing but make it be completely useless against planes (the thing it was meant to shot down), it's AT Capability is still the same. Infact they even buffed it by making the darts be able to overpressure once it penetrates. This is just gaijin fucking up starstreaks with their spaghetti code like usual.

I have a bug report out on this and a Gaijin employee has confirmed that this is an issue that they are looking into. Starstreaks phasing through moving targets is a bug, plain and simple. It's a real shame, because I loved the Stormer when it wasn't horribly broken.

In general it is down to play style and brain activity. If you adapt to the vechile you usually don’t have any issues. I’ve been playing the CV90120 for a while and it is a beast if you play it right. Same with the Challenger.

All Chally 2s now have their proper Spall Liner which makes them EXTREMELY formidable at top tier and Chally DSs are less sought after than others while being just as competitive. Think of that for a while, you can have 3-4 extremely survivable tanks at top tier while having 2 good AAs, a great CAS lineup and decent cannons. Add to it that the UK tree is very filtering due to the solid shot and sabot hardships you need to face while climbing.

@@Stelynsimo its better since the only frontol leo liner is a small spot infront of the ammo rack, when most ppl shoot the driver side or turret ring since those are more effective. the chally has a rather large frontal spall liner which sometimes stops lfp shots since sometimes the dart goes through the bottom tip of the liner. having liners are the side doesn't really saves you from exposing your side IF you opponent actually aims

OH yeah, the liner on the cheeks makes it so that if they shoot at the breach most shrapnel will be filtered and only the breach damaged, while we were getting onetapped all the time beforehand

Britain has been, amazing as of right now - out of my three top tier nations I play right now, I'm primarily playing Britain. Might be a bit down to the fact I'm currently grinding the ADATS but, the Challengers are amazing vehicles in the right hands, and the right map. Good Challenger players, when I see them on my team are terrifying.

Rigth, for me its like i kinda dislike the challanger 2, But oh man im doing so good in them. Usaly placed in the top 3 with 5-10 kills. I have no idea why im doing so much better in them than the rest, could be to the slower nature. Not getting me in bad situations as often. And when it comes to being tanky. They do some times survive A LOT more than one would think. Then again other times your one shotet by shots you would think you would survie. Now if there would only be an top tiere ligth tank then i would be happy with the brits.

The chally engine sound is awsome now. The one true best engine sound for a tank irl is the leo 1 hand down, no contest. Owned by the leo1. Inside the tank or when 3rd person zoomed it wt has the sound 100% correct yet 3rd person unzoomed its not the same.

Japan next? I picked up the OES last week (I already had Japan and France done, and I was up to Vickers mk.7 (love that tank btw)) and I'm enjoying it a lot. Challys are super fun, I especially enjoy surviving getting shot at, unlike Type 10 and Leclerc (less often). Though don't get me wrong, Type 10/TKX are love, the firepower on those gocarts is pure insanity, and the hydropneumatic suspension helps so much, I can take up spots no other tank can and nobody expects me pop up in most insane spots lol.

The truth for the matter regarding Italian top tier is that there's only one vehicle the Ariete. Another big issue in regards to it is most people don't pull it out unless they are almost certain that the game can be won. Being an avid Italian main I would rather use the 120 first, Freccia, second, Heli, and AV-8B before even thinking about pulling out the Ariete. Don't get me wrong I have about 50 battles in it which accounts for 1/10th of the total battles that equate in the 77%WR, but I only have around a 60%WR in it. The better option to look at for Italian top tier would be the Centauro 120 it shows a more realistic standpoint in regards to actual WR. Over 360 battles and a 66%WR in it is still around the actual standpoint for Italy. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty portion the M1A2 SEP has nearly 10k battles with a 37%WR the T-80BVM has almost 30k battles with a 47%WR, and before we get onto Sweden, and Germany remember we're basing the Italians off of one vehicle so lets do the 2A7V and 122B+. The current standing for the 2A7V is 89.27%WR with 300 battles, the 122B+ is at 83.72 with 160 battles. If that doesn't scream double standards than I don't know what does.

I think one of the main things which Gaijin misses in balancing is the nations which new players tend to play. Britain suffers precisely because very few new players grind the british tree as their first. The overwhelming majority of people grind one of the big three as their first top tier nations. After they've finished one, they're likely to begin grinding one of the other big three and only THEN do they move to a smaller nation like Japan/Italy/Britain etc. This means that by the time most players play top tier Britain, they'll be exponentially better players with greater map knowledge, sitatuional awareness and vehicle knowledge than they did when they were playing their first top-tier nation. As a result this artificially inflates the winrates of nations such as Britain and Japan. I've got 1000+ hours and mainly play British, Swedish and German vehicles. Playing Britain the last few years as my main nation was some serious difficulty curve.
