My grandfather was shot twice in Operation Husky liberating Sicily in World War 2. Brave as f**k, and I have only the deepest respect for the man. As a kid he used to let me put my fingers in the bullet wounds...as an older man, reading James Holland's book covering the invasion, I can only read in awe at his and other people's bravery during war time.

Hope our soldiers have better medical gear, tourniquets and other trauma gear can mean the difference between life and death of a soldier until he can be evacuated. That sanitary pads thing just reminded me of a video of new Russian mobilized unit being instructed by and experienced trainer to carry them if they didn't have modern bandages and tourniquets

5.56 caliber is way more devastating and deadlier than 7.62. It is a small bullet that has way more velocity and then it just tumbles upon hitting the target. Causes way more trauma and increases fatality rate. But there are certain types of 5.56 rounds that will just zip right through the target. It is a misconception that 5.56 will only injure the person. A 62 grain 5.56 will cause more physical damage. Some militants reload these 5.56 rounds to have less powder, hence less velocity which makes them less fatal but a nasty round to treat. 5.56 is capable of penetrating deeper, they destroy helmet and the skull in it from 500 meters easy.

No yaar 😒 u should watch some video 7.62 vs 5.56 shooting comparison 7.62 is distinctively more devastating the exit is much bigger

I dont know why but i personally think there should be 3-4 guys in a group to only carry the wounded. So that the rest of the soldiers should focus on the task they were assigned to do rather than saving the life i.e. their attention should’t be deviated from aggression to defence.
@vira7812 жыл бұрын
@@rahuladhana4075 In simple terms you call them field medics & their assistance. Either you take care of your weaknesses or the enemy will 😉.

@shouryavashisth2 жыл бұрын
SF teams operate in prahars (8 men team) , so assigning 4 people to carry a wounded soldier is dumb,there are not a lot of medics in sf , because of low number of medics being inducted in army and lack of medic volunteers for probation and only few getting through probation, thats why medics are usually on mission where 1.5 or 2 or more prahar are working , also their is difference in objectives , In normal ambushes for ci/ct where objective is to neutralize enemy , no one wants to loose a highly trained sf personel to a hip firing jihadi, but in more mainstream ops like D.A raids , hvt elimination and demo etc , if someone gets injured then 2 men carry the injured one out while other continue operation.

Last time the USA tried fighting Vietnamese in the Jungle and they lost badly... The Russians fought the Chechen in the first war and lost badly... Pakistan fought them in KPK (Waziristan) and faced casualties in thousands, The Americans tried fighting in the jungle in Afghanistan (Op Red Dawn) faced 20 casualties and had to retreat (the Navy seals ) Stop talking crap kid....
