Nobody can argue that the protesters aren't physically stopping other people unless they also argue that the cars can keep driving without stopping. Therefore, since the protesters are physically stopping people, then the crowd should have every right to physically stop the protesters from physically stopping them. If nothing else, take their backpacks off and scatter their belongings around on the side of the road to ensure that the protesters have to stay busy collecting their stuff. Then just keep taking their stuff, including their phones that are recording and throw them in the woods to keep the protesters busy so that society can operate as intended.

At 0:29 I used to work with the girl in the yellow hat and brown t-shirt sitting in the middle of the street. She was an idiot who's feelings always came first. She left shifts early leaving co-workers to do all her work because feelings, ran to human resources like a toddler if you had a differing opinion because feelings, was generally unprofessional and alienated everyone because feelings. She only passed probation because we were super short staffed. She was a poor fit for the job in every way. When she quit on her own, staff members could feel the sigh of relief all through the building. Also thats only the first half of the video.

(I know this is the UK/Europe) I believe in the US, citizens could perform a citizen's arrest. TBH, if I knew it was happening, I'd go to the spot with a bunch of zip-ties, get a group of people to help, and then haul them off under the law of blocking the road for emergency personnel while proceeding to zip-tie their hands to the nearest fence or permanent fixture to get them out of the road. It’s not a good cause. It’s mainly coal and gas we should use less of (because they are used to make electricity and are easier to substitute), mainly by going nuclear. Oil is incredibly versatile, mainly because it’s a liquid. We can get all sorts of plastics, lubricants, solvents, and easy to use fuels out of oil. Some of the fuels will slowly be replaced by batteries and electricity but it will take a while until we can get rid of most of them. We could stop almost all our coal/gas usage in ten years or less.

the last time this happened to me in San Francisco, the cops came out and put police tape around the intersection and re-routed the cars... kind of defeats the purpose of blocking it. 🤣🤣🤣

@@victoriasmith2965 In Australia, and probably other places, it's resulted in more restrictions on protests, and more powers for police to stop them. It's also generally turning people against environmental causes, and to vote for more right-leaning political parties who appose environmental reforms. It's doing a huge amount of harm to their cause.
