Iroh's words always hit same with KFP and rick and morty "you have been me" "who are you" "to live life you need problems" and "you don't have the right to be sad" along with oogways quote are just classic and really helps a bro out life sucks sometimes but we just gotta do the best we can and sometimes ya know maybe this can help at least to get some closure or peace at the end of a long and stressful day..... stay strong everyone and keep going forward it might be crappy but we make it work so stay happier somewhat at the end and have a nice night!

Mordecai absolutely is an overhated character. Another Mordecai scene I really liked was from the episode where he and Rigby had to accept Mr. Maellard's package at his house. The scene with him talking to Rigby about how he was worried about his future was very relatable

Definitely. People tend to gloss over the "little moments" and only look at the things that fit their narratives. I'm not saying he's not a total ass at times but he's not some 1 dimensional, irredeemable character that's only there to be hated

Seriously screw anyone who says cartoons are only for kids, some of the best life lessons can we learned through them, they can actually matter and mean something, cartoons don't have to be mindless noise to distract your toddler 24/7, and they don't have to have curse words or blood or jokes about sex in order to be mature, animation deserves way more respect than it gets out of most people

If happiness isnt permanent...why do we strive for a temporary high or feeling if it wasn't worth it?. Happiness may not be permanent but it is reoccurring and thats what makes life easier because even in your saddest day there will come a time where you just don't feel sad anymore cause life throws you a curve ball and suddenly you just don't feel the need to be sad anymore whether it be the smallest of things like a clear blue sky, someone held the door for you, someone bought you something and it cheers you up, waking up to see a new day. So in defence of being an optimist its not about being happy all the time or being unrealistically cheery all the time, its holding on to the mere possiblity that one day you'll smile again. Its called hope

Damn, your post is good! However, at no point does he say happiness is not worth it (or maybe I missed it). I‘d understand it more as a warning to be cautious of happiness and not falling into the trap of believing it can be truly permanent, softening the blow to oneself if (when) it ends. You could see it as a lesson (maybe not the right word) not to strive for happiness, as it comes and inevitably goes, but for inner peace which maybe can ne permanent.

If you're strong enough, you won't care that happiness doesn't last. You'll just accept and be satisfied with whatever happiness you get. If you're terrified of happiness, it means you're smart, but to weak to live without it. Pretty sure rick isn't that weak.
