We Are One, that does describe who the faction was. They were always helping CM Punk rather than each other.The New Nexus was all about CM Punk, nobody else. Take Punk out of the equation and you'll struggle to think about any memorable moments from the group. Personally New Nexus could've gone down better. I feel Punk should've recruited established wrestlers on the Raw brand to give them some much needed legitimacy. With that said, Sunday's video is most likely on MNM. I was writing the script for the video, hell even made the thumbnail but pushed it back in favor of this. Also, screw this video, the amount of times the video editing software crashed, damn.

I feel The New Nexus kinda helped jumpstart Cm Punks big push. They helped him with his feuds with Cena, Orton Kane and big show and at the time he was a top heel and I feel like putting a team with him just felt right. Nexus didn’t really get a ending I think they deserved but between the months of January- July they helped punk in his push and from August- rumble 2013 he helped himself with the push

Nexus was already damaged goods by this point, and Punk had zero momentum after spending a few months prior being squashed by Big Show. But I think its time to admit that there was no plans for Nexus, it was basically a “give Cena something to smack around for a few months until WrestleMania season” opponent with Batista, Jeff Hardy and Shawn gone, Jericho leaving after SummerSlam, no intention of doing Cena/Edge or Cena/Hunter again, and Miz being groomed at the time for the WWE Championship

The new nexus was booked like a joke. The henchmen were upstaged by the maineventers and CM Punk kept losing important matches against his rivals. No wonder the new nexus was underwhelming. If they were booked like Evolution, winning all the brand's titles, it would be a different story. Also I do remember this era of wrestling, CM Punk was getting pops from his inception and duration in the New Nexus.

I feel the New Nexus did assist CM Punk in elevating his career, as shown with his fueds with Randy Orton and John Cena. But once CM Punk started to fued with John Cena for the WWE Title, the Nexus instantly faded from existence. CM Punk adadoned the group without saying anything, Curtis Axel and David Otunga wrestled with the name, until eventually dropping it. Basically they were never given a proper disbandment.
