Conor's trash talk is actually a fight tactic because Conor's main weakness is stamina. He needs his opponents on attack mode in the ring in the very first round because Conor only has explosive power in the first round. Conor simply knows that after about 20 of his strikes or kicks that misses will exhaust him and he will have nothing left. Conor is always gassed out in the third round and becomes weak. Mayweather had a brilliant strategy and took this to his advantage to be defensive in the first few rounds, that gassed out Conor, and attacked when Conor had nothing left. I even think Khabib had more opportunities in the fight to submit Conor much earlier but simply wanted to knock out Conor in the most shameful manner. Khabib totally dominated Conor in the fight and even Conor was cheating multiple times because he knew he was going down.
