Nah this was a kind of homemade "un obstruer " tool to fix obstructed plumbing stuff , you put one side of this OPEN on a plumbing pipe and turn the other side and PSSSSSSHHH it blow air to empty a plug / stopper in a pipe , but if you initiate the chemical reaction when it's closed , it just blow ^^ This wasn't made to harm , but he may have advised the officer of this in first times of the encounter / search , very stupid from him to don't advise there is a such homemade tool on his car.

I feel like they should have brought him to court to face the charges so the judge could have a stern talk to him to make sure he understands why making something like that and leaving it around looks bad and let him go if his record is clean enough that it looks like an honest accident or mistake and the judge drop the charges. If he has a more criminal past especially a violent one I would say the charges should then stick or less room for forgiveness.

They cut the audio out for the part where the officer was handling it but either the officer or the guy had opened the valve and that's what caused the compounds to mix.

My dads not a cop but he pulled a guy from his truck after his IED detonated. He works with special needs kids in school and they were out at the park when it happened. Nobody knows what he was planning dad just saw someone in trouble and tried to save his life. He passed away from his injuries at the hospital but it really messed my dad up mentally for awhile.
