Just look and fat human family's that have had a long history of fat relatives and ancestors..beside all the inherented health issues downs for some reason being the biggest..they almost have no arms and legs now..extremely short cavles and forearms.they already turning Into blobs creatures.

I dont think it's an issue with taking the form but maintaining it without subconscious thought, the fact thatinstead of a homogenous ooze each part of our body is a dozen different parts interlinked to work together to perform a singular function
