Tbf that was the greatest set of Western Conference teams we’ve ever seen. OKC was stacked, with peak KD and peak Russ surrounded by a ton of lengthy defenders. They were basically like the Timberwolves right now, except if KAT became prime KD and Edwards became prime Russ. And then the 67 win Spurs, who I genuinely think would’ve beaten the Warriors if they didn’t run into the Thunder first. They were a matchup issue for the Warriors that year. And after all that, Steph banged up as well, the Warriors get to the finals and meet prime Lebron with prime Kyrie and a defensive blueprint they basically took from OKC on how to slow the Warriors down.

I still think the Nuggets are the favorite to win the title, but I think the Wolves can give them some serious trouble in the 2nd round. That’ll be a great test for them, and then the Celtics will be a tough series regardless although I’d favor Nuggets for sure. WCF is a crapshoot; I don’t really think the Thunder can challenge them. Mavericks can if they can get a good rhythm going from three but Jokic will probably torch them inside, and Clippers will need really hot shooting from 3 and Kawhi coming back strong.

The Nuggets don't have true opposition in the West since the Suns and Lakers got swept and the Mavericks, Thunder, Clippers and Timberwolves can all be defeated in 5-6 games by them. With Porzingis' injury, I don't think the Celtics are clear favorites for the East anymore and the Bucks might lose the series against the Pacers tonight since Giannis and Dame are out. I think the Nuggets have a really easy path back to the finals this year.
