He didn't lose the fans. I'm fuming that we've wasted another 3 years of building momentum for it to be lost over a poor run. He showed his ruthlessness with players sold in the summer and made good additions. I believe we'd have had a top half finish in the league and win another cup this season possibly the Europa, getting us in the Champions League with an exceptionally young squad learning and growing under a stable philosophy. Challenging for top four next year. I don't know who's available to take over right now and whoever it is, is starting from scratch again. I can't see the sense in this at all.

It was Ten Hag's problem. He was allowed to recruit almost every player he asked for, some on loan due to restrictions, but he still got them. His team was directionless. Yes, there were moments but that's like saying Pogba's return was a success because of that second half v City. Where was the coaching. Consider what Gerrard said about Villa, when he left. As it turns out, they didn't need to spend a fortune on recruitment; they needed coaching. Our players are much better than they appear. Even Zirkzee could be an attribute, but not as a lone striker, which is where Ten Hag (the man who signed him) played him, mostly. Where was the imagination? Why wasn't he played in the 10 v Fenerbahce instead of putting a full back there? Indeed, even in that Spurs game, when Bruno was particularly poor, there was an opportunity to sub him for Zirkzee long before the red card. The reality is that his in game management was awful. He prioritised his own signings over players who were just as good, if not better. Even at the end, he gave the nod to the ever failing Antony ahead of Amad. Yes, of course, players also have to take some blame but, ultimately, Ten Hag was responsible for his own future and he was found wanting.

I'll tell you exactly when Ten Hag lost the United fans! Most of us stood bye Erik Ten Hag to the end, but that game against Chelsea when we lost 4-3 on over time, but the last drop for most of us was the game against Tottenham loosing 0-3 at home is mind blowing. That told the majority of the fans that he isnt turning this around. Considering how much money he spent and I dont care if its old Ajax players or if they knew Ten Hag from back in the days or that they are Dutch players. When I looked at the dynamics on the bench it felt like Erik Ten Hag ignored good advice from the training staff and why I said that is nothing change. From Van Nistelroy and Rene Hake talking and showing with their hands to something changing out on the pitch didnt happen. Last time United was in the 16 place on the table was under Sir Alex Ferguson in the season before Premier League became Premier League or was it the third season as a United coach?🤔 As usual, now we press the reset putton again and we sign a new coach.

Why does the tone of Sky Sports tend to go towards "which new signings have failed Ten Hag" when there are numerous players who are still there and seen the back of 5/6 managers that haven't performed consistently the whole time..... Sure we can say Antony is a diabolical signing, Casemiro was too expensive and has regressed hugely but let's not forget the players that are still there. I don't know how you can go to this guy for his opinion. Him and that other simp Laurie Whitwell have been insisting that ten hag is an elite manager no matter what happens on the pitch. I get that there's an element of "getting behind the manager" but you become part of the problem when you're consulted to give an honest opinion but then you refuse to put any criticism on ten hag in fear you won't get an interview for your blog. What does he mean it's not Ten Hag's fault that Utd players have been missing all those chances in front of goal! Who's fault is it then..?! Man Utd have been poor in front of goal for a few seasons now, since before Ten Hag came. But he has had plenty of time to fix it through training the players on how to finish better when presented with chances. Utd players have been swiping and snatching at the chances they create and that is not the way to score goals. You must be cold and in the moment, your eyes need to be open wide, you have to think and take your time and choose the best technique for each goal scoring situation every time, you need to get a good look at the net in most cases and choose the right spot to place the ball, and you have to do all that in a very short space of time. There is a technique to scoring goals that few have naturally but which most can learn. Ten Hag has clearly not been training the players to finish properly, even though he's had plenty of time to do it, because he's not a great coach. I know he's had success with Ajax but I don't care, he was in over his head at Utd because he is not truly big time as a coach, and the goal drought was his responsibility to fix and he didn't, so yes, Utd not scoring is his fault, not to mention that Hojlund, Zirkzee, Anthony are forwards he brought to the club!! It's just plain daft to say it's not his fault!
