Joke my slk55 2005 32k miles have shop dipstic and use it. Only fear little black donuts deep in the engine 5k to get to 3 bucks to replace.

Seeing the amount of oil on the underbelly of this car made me feel a lot better about my C55’s weepy ways! 😂 Mine has 145,000 miles. I saw in its Mercedes service history that it was leaking oil as early as 35,000 miles. Check it often. Top it off. Drive on. Changes every 4,000. So far so good.

Dash warning would have told them to stop and add oil if they ran it with very low oil level. Well done finding the relay out of position.
