I have a short haired husky and a Belgian Tervuren and the Belgian sheds worse then the Husky. The first warm day it will look like someone sheared a sheep in the living room. I live in a cold climate on the Arctic Circle in Norway so the winter fur gets thick and now in the Spring vacuuming is a daily chore. I have a pet vac which helps a lot.

I used to spin my Mally's fur and knit with it too. Makes beautiful sweaters. Side note: The geese will poop constantly and will get it all over your porch. They can go more than a pack of dogs. 😐

My last dog was a husky mix. She sheded year around but was super super bad in the spring. That is the only thing I did not like about her. How ever she was a great dog and knew well over 60 tricks and 20 people by name. I joke that I could make a small dog a day out of all the hair Fredricka shed.

I know your comment is 2 years ago but just to say that bath your husky one time a few months unless they got really dirty. When Husky shed they lose some of their dirt along with their furr so they are normally clean dogs

Armaan Grewal I have two huskies, and honestly I think that would be incredible difficult because each weekend won’t be enough time to instill potty training or feeding schedule. If your in school I would wait maybe for a summer break because a solid 3 months with the puppy could be a very good jump start. Huskies require a lot of time!

The only reason I am not bothered by husky shedding is that my long hair is as annoying as pet hair ! 😂 Before I got my Dyson I had to to rub with a glove the carpet bit to get rid of my own brown hair cos a regular vacuum wasn't efficient. I swear I could have made a scarf with. So hey not scared of Huskeroni Pizza hair !

yeah my husko is really fluffy like his mother... only 2 of the pack have long fur the other brothers have short fur (i chose the one with the long fur ha... ) why? dont't know... hahahah even if i brush him he will keep shedding... and i love black clothes so i just brush myself with the sticky roller before going out and done... and yeah i have to clean my room like alot.... cuz i will see fur everywhere... i've been asthmatic all my life... well now is kinda gone the fur doesn't bother me... (since i was a little kid i had dogs all around me to build some resistance to the dog fur it never trigger my asthma so plus on that)... but yeah they shedd and shedd and shedd .. and i don't really mind it... i just clean and all good...

Probably not. Huskies are good at self hygiene. But a bath once every 2 months is probably a good idea.

It isn’t bad. Some husky owners believe it is too rough and pulls valuable hairs out of your dogs coat. I have no clue if this is true or not, however I have always used the furminator on Hila and she has a healthy coat. So it’s all about preference and belief.

Well for me I used it on my wooly husky, and I noticed that he was losing a lot of fur. Idk about pulling the hair out. But I noticed that where I brushed him at seemed really lower that what his fur was actually at. I’ll send you some pictures for reference.
