Very helpful to hear your insights on how to pitch. There's a ton to think about on the mound so having some quick ways to think about it was good. Inventory of your stuff, gauge hitter approach and know the field dimensions.

Man Ballparks like that I hated. I would throw my 2seam/sinker to a Power lefty starting middle Low and moving to zone 9 from his perspective (Down and Away) you had a cutter it seemed for your off balance speed vision tracking disruption pitch so that would be Nitro zone for a lefty Zone 7 (Down and in ) I really think the most hated pitch for hitters is a sinking /2seam fastball especially if you can command the changeup from the same arm slot angle when a runner is on first less that 2 outs even if they are known as a low ball hitter they have to still judge the exact movement and get under or hit the inside half of the ball or its roll that beautiful DP inning over. Good video

"...that he should have his plan and stick to it, no matter the hitter...I think that comment was nonsense..." WELL SAID Mr. Blewitt.

Dan, question unrelated to video. Would you say there are "good" places to feel sore/tired after pitching a game? Like, if one is sore in the traps, glutes, and hips, would that be good? While being sore in the forearm and quads would be bad?

I'd just say that forearm is bad. The others are just..sore muscles, no real value proposition. But forearm isnt good. Usually means the elbow isnt okay. In the MLB, when you hear a pitcher has forearm tightness, he's usually on the DL with elbow problems shortly thereafter. Just be careful with that one.

sorry to ask this question on this vid.. but can you do pick off moves from the wind up position without stepping off..??
@DanBlewett2 жыл бұрын
no. and why would you be doing a pick off from the wind up anyway?
@mrichrich-nr8id2 жыл бұрын
not that he was going to do one … but if he was in the wind up and noticed a runner that’s way off the bag.. just making sure that he has to step off first before throwing over.. not just pivot and throw
