You're one of my favorite KZbin channel also💪 My favorite bait for catfishing had always been eels. Hands down best bait for catfish imo. I slice them up like you would slice up a hot dog and it never comes off the hooks. I've tried many baits for catfish from perch sliced up stinky cheese and some other combinations but nothing has ever beat some sliced up eel. I never purchased my eels either, I always would go out late night with a trout rod or 2 and a size 8 hook with night crawlers I also found after spraying my lawn down then waiting awhile and going out with a flashlight and carefully walking slowly while only allowing the dim part of the light to find the night crawlers that come up after you soaked the lawn. Freeze the eels then slice them up and you're good too fish all night and morning usually catching 2 catfish on 1 piece of sliced eel before I'd change my bait too a fresh piece.

hey, so I need a dolly for a kayak pelican catch pwr 100. Checked market place, Amazon. Wal-Mart etc. so I took a little tyles jeep, and cut it so 2 inch flat trim top. And it is a square 12 inch deep, full width. Painted all black. Wide tires, holes for straps to hook. Nice.

I was camping both times the world record Blue cat was caught. I got to see the first one, but couldn't get near the weigh in on the second one. I am not in favor of any tournaments as it is hard on the resources. A another reason is that too many fish are not returned to the area of which they were taken and displacement is not a good thing for any species. Glad you had a great time and I am actually looking for a partial of land down near Boydton, Virginia so I can park a camper and have a small shop and not have to camp every time. If anyone has any leads, send them my way.

I'm not a tournament fisherman myself . But I'll say this , the tournament guys take better care of those fish , than anyone I know of . They get very upset is a fish is harmed . It's the commercial fishermen you should dislike . There's a lake about a big as Kerr near my house I fish and this fish are constantly moving any ways . I don't think moving them hurts em any personally

If you're ever up for some international travel, down here in euroland, we've got some pretty big cats as well. They're called the Wel's catfish. National record here in the Netherlands currently stands at 100 inches, if I recall correctly. Not really sure of the weight, as I'm sure you'll understand weighing a hundred inch fish at the catch site (catch&release is mandatory) is going to be a bit of a challenge, so they don't usually weigh them, just record the length and sometimes girth of the fish. They're an awesome fish to catch, and you can catch em on anything, ranging from night crawlers to large artificials to ground pellets. The biggest ones usually get caught using smelly ground bait, but the most fun is to catch the 'medium' sized ones (4-7ft range) on a whopper plopper using a belly boat float tube. They do that a lot in France. Look up some KZbin videos! I'm pretty sure you'll be itching to book a trip! Love your stuff. Say hi to Cranky for me!
