Loved this one! Im a Ford fan since i was small boy my grandmother used pick me up on friday nights n take me to Dairy Queen for ice cream in a 66 mustang. I loved riding that car. Always have loved the mustang my entire life. I special ordered one in 2003. My ex wife wrecked it.😢

Wow you missed a lot out there.......... Ken Miles died in August 66 and that started a chain of events!! Carrol Shelby retired to South Africa and Ford pulled out of the Lemans projest and sold the FAV facility to John Wyer (the guy who Shelby said was his mentor). John Wyer then took the Mk1 GT40 and created the light weight Mirage cars (they all wore the Gulf colours) he then won Lemans back to back without the funding of Ford. As Carrol Shelby said himself, without John Wyer there wouldn't have been the 59 Lemans win as a driver for Aston (Wyers race team at the time), there wouldn't have been the introduction to AC cars, there wouldn't have been the introduction to Eric Broadley / Lola and he wouldn't have used the Lola Mk5 GT to cut development time down for the Gt40. Just to prove Wyer's pedigry of building winning cars, after the Gt40 he was brought on board to the Porche 917 and famously he turned that from a death trap to the most untouchable Lemans racer of all time.
