Good choices. I have to do some more homework this year to decide what to run. I know I need better springs (whether that's heavier or moving to coilovers). I don't want to go full race items as this will be more street cruiser and show car.

The wheels look nice but a but on the Euro side compared to most Mustangs but it should help you stand out even more. I have Apex ARC 8 18x9.5 squared coming for my car soon will be running 265/35/18 squared. I have 19s staggered currently I will try and make it to the cars and coffee to check it out, last time I was in Fresno.

Greg's Depot There is one other Fox running the same setup out of Arizona, so it should be harder to find something similar unless we cross paths on the track. This car when done will be very different than almost anything out there and should be a car that has some legacy in the future. I had looked at the Apex wheels, but they didnt offer the sizing I wanted unfortunately. They are priced well and competitive to what I have into the Rovos set. Are you local to me? I wont have this car out in public for a while, but hope to get it out before the snow flies again.

+Basin Motorsports well local more or less in K Falls South Suburbs Yeah Apex kinda has limited fitment beyond BMWs currently

Greg's Depot Apex is slowly working on Mustang fit, but didn't have the width to fit a 315 tire. I do like their styling. Cool to hear you're in the area also. I'll be out at all the shows this year, even if the car isn't done yet.

Hello, I was wondering the difference in lengths between the two lower control arm.
@BasinMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
T Rust I show the difference in the video, but it's between 3/4" and 1" depending on the feature (spring pocket, sway bar mount, ball joint, etc.).
@tedjones-ho2zk6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply, the reason I was asking, I know you mentioned the rears being 3/4 further out due to the axles but was not fully sure about the front. I have an 86 that I put 95 spindles and rotors, the issue is that I need more adjustment for the camber angle.I enjoy your videos, Thanks
@BasinMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
T Rust I think they could fix the issue since they will push the wheel more outboard than the normal Fox LCA. The SN95 parts are similar but the 99-04 are a little different shape on the rear side that allow for better turn radius (which will help me because of the wide 315 tires).
@tedjones-ho2zk6 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 315s are very wide and you will need all the help you can get. Its a good thing that the LCAs are available with the relief for such a wide tire. Thanks again for your input.

Can you please tell me what offset your wheels are? Wheels look awesome! Going for a staggered look and was wondering offset because no one else is telling me that
@BasinMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Jamal Clark I'm running an 18x10.5" Rovos Pretoria (6.7 backspace +23 offset) on all four wheels. It's what American Muscle sells for the rear of the SN95.

Question, if you change the lower spring location with the 99-04 control arm should you consider using moving the upper spring location with the wider SN-95 K member or is it not necessary? The wheels are ok.
@BasinMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Good question, and I don't have a specific answer. When I asked Maximum Motorsports about running the wheels/tires, springs, and shocks to get it running this year, they said I should switch to the 99-04 LCA for this year and then consider springs or coilovers next. There was no mention of changing the K-member to go with the wider LCA. I would assume it's not needed, but since I didn't ask specifically about it I'd hate to tell you wrong. I guess I need to make another tech-line call.
@BasinMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Mike H I talked to MM today about the K-member and the simple answer is that it won't matter. The real difference is the LCA and the K-member can be changed but it doesn't make sense to change it.
@mikeh85066 жыл бұрын
Basin Motorsports Ok, they certainly know a lot more about suspension than I do, I would follow they're instructions. I was just considering that "IF" Ford made the spring location on the LCA unique to the 99-04 New Edge (SN-95), the K-member spring location would follow. Wishing you well in your build! I'm checking in with you and a few others while I have plenty of challenges myself in just putting my purchased shell of a 88 GT back together.
