The sad thing is that Slager would likely have not gone to prison or even have to take *any* responsibility for the murder of Walter Scott had there not been video evidence proving his version of events wrong. The police in the USA are notorious for standing by their own even when their own is in the wrong. If there hadn't been such a backlash and such strong and undeniable evidence, the guy would be a free man and would be free to continue potentially racially motivated murders. It's amazing that he went to jail at all for his crime, because sometimes not even video evidence or witness testimony is enough to get corrupt officers where they belong.

And, to cut your loses when ur down, IE dont chase loses thinking u can break even cause u dig yourself a hole. I now just do a few scratchers and draw games like mega/powerball to get my fix. I havent been to the casino in 4 days which is a long time for almost daily player like myself

The Hawks case has always haunted me. How horrible to be tied to an anchor and thrown overboard to drown - the panic they must have felt, the terror of it. And Skylar DeLeon, in an interview I've seen with him, speaking really softly, so unlike his true voice, trying to project an air of innocence. I know someone that drown. He said after the panic, it's over. No pain. Eventually you body will gasp for air, no matter how hard you fight it. He brought this up because I had said that burning was my greatest fear. Drowning was second. He said he felt the same till he drowned. But he no longer fears it that it's not a bad way to go. He was out for two minutes before they got him back. The panic and fight was the worst part, which is maybe one minute or less.

With the JFK jr. crash, he recently bought the twin engine plane and was not familiar with it and was not instrument rated - basically his arrogance and over confidence killed all 3 on board. The moral of the story, don't trust extremely rich people and gambling addiction usually leads to suicide unless their family is wealthy enough to bail them out when they hit rock bottom. I watch a MMA youtuber who has a gambling addiction..i've watched him from the first time he gambled until not where it completely controls his emotions, how he feels, acts, and podcast on fight night depends on if he is winning or not. The viewers are constantly sending them money and dude has become a full blown gambling addict because of it.

Where I was docked, the wind seemed mild....the moment I emerged from the protection of a nearby island, the wind picked up tremendously, and the waves were higher than my prow.
