@samarthmisra60643 жыл бұрын
@pqr Well so is the Advaita Vedanta school of thought, it does not believe in a physical form of god and still it is a sect of Hinduism. The same is true for the religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism( thought it does have outside influences due to the melting pot that was north India at the time of his creation) if you look into it deeper. They all fall under the dharmic family of religion. It can also be argued that the dharmic family also had influences in native SE/ east Asian, pagan, Zoroastrianism, Mesopotamian, Hellenic religions.

@pqr Buddhism and jainsm fall under sanathana dharma. Budha and Mahavira were Dhayan Yogis. A dhayan yogi is a person who experience god in him through the power of dhyan. Its all sanathan Dharma bro. 👍

@@globalentertainerms4694 Buddhism and Sikhism are kaliyuga dharmic traditions. Both buddhism and Sikhism have incomplete understanding of Vedic metaphysics (despite copying vedic meditation techniques) which led to wrong conclusions like 'Nirvana" in the case of Buddhism and duality of athman and brahman or Bakhti in Sikhism. Jainism originated in Dwapra yuga but the jain cult forcing birth based jains to get moksha led to its downfall.

As a Christian I naturally have an Abrahamic view of God, from what I hear, there isn't much difference between Abrahamic & Dharmic spiritual truths . Christians or Moslems who desecrate Hindu temples are not truly living up to their own faith, God expects all of us to be charitable to each other to accept our differences & find that which we share. God, after all, is not a Jew, or Moslem, or Hindu, or Sikh, or Christian he hears and answers all prayer and worship from loving hearts. I hate to hear or any religious intolerance, but Hinduism, in particular, is hard to hear as I have a deep love for your faith.

So,I just thought to write some verses here for people who haven't read Bhagavad Gita and may get interested to actually read it by reading some verses. Here are some verses I am copy pasting from a site. Krishna says:- "I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire.(BG 9.17)" "There is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread.” (BG 7.7)" "I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me(BG 10.8)" "O Arjun, I am seated in the heart of all living entities. I am the beginning, middle, and end of all beings."(BG 10.20) "Although I am unborn and My transcendental body never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all sentient beings, I still appear in every millennium in My original transcendental form."(BG 4.6) "What need is there for all this detailed knowledge, O Arjun? Simply know that by one fraction of my being, I pervade and support this entire creation."(10.42) To Arjuna:- "O son of Kunti, even those devotees who faithfully worship other gods also worship Me. But they do so by the wrong method."( BG 9.23) "Abandon all varieties of dharmas and simply surrender unto me alone. I shall liberate you from all sinful reactions; do not fear."(18.66)" *And to those people who consider Krishna to be mortal human,Krishna says* :- "Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature and My supreme dominion over all that be." (BG 9.11) "Bewildered by the material energy, such persons embrace demoniac and atheistic views. In that deluded state, their hopes for welfare are in vain, their fruitive actions are wasted, and their culture of knowledge is baffled." Do give a Like or comment to tell if these verses solved any of your confusion or helped you in understanding Krishna in any way.🙂

Aman Sinha When Krishna said "he is immortal" he was talking about athma. Which means we all are immortal. Krishna, even though an incarnation (means not a karmic birth) was mortal. He was killed by a hunter (Vali's reincarnation) since Rama was cursed by Vali's pious wife Tara for killing him by hiding behind a tree. Shiva/Vishnu/Brahman are cosmic allegories for the formless and conscious divine which is immanent (athma), transcendent and omnipresent. Their wives are Shakthi/lakshmi/saraswathi are also cosmic allegories for the intelligent energy. Husband (purusha) and wife (prakriti) always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. So, you can't equate Krishna (with a mortal material body even though an incarnation) with the cosmic allegory Vishnu. It only leads to more confusion.

Wow, so very well expressed. As you already mentioned, God is everywhere, he is so vast, he pervades in all the places life is possible, and we are so very small and limited. Idol worship is a bond of love between the devotee and God, its a plea of a longing heart, an invitation to the infinitely vast God to take a form small enough where the lover of God can talk & serve. It as if saying- Oh my Lord, you are so vast and endless, and I am so small that my voice and hands cannot reach you. God, you are everywhere, but I have my limitations, and do not know how to connect to you. I want to talk to you, I want to serve you and touch you, so kindly take a form through which I can connect to you. Bottom line, while we argue what is right and what is wrong, what really matters is WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.

Stone deities/Images have 2 purposes. 1. Symbolic representation of well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya which combines Advaitha and Dvaitha. 2. They are also objects of focus and meditation in the presence of Vibrations created by Sanskrit mantras. So called "God" is NOT the same as Brahman which is immanent (athma), transcendent and omnipresent. Brahman is powerless without its shakhti and without Brahman nothing exists. So, Shiva (brahman) always exist with Shakhti (intelligent energy) for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. eg Birth/death duality cycle (reincarnation), wave/particle, energy/matter, man/woman, positive/negative, manifestation/concealment, microcosm/macrocosm (moksha) etc.

Absolutely wonderful explaination. I had realized this long long back as a child that without a shape of a circle one cannot think of zero. No wonder Abrahamics were surprised by zero and appropriated it as one of Arabic Numerals, which Sanatanis from Bharat had discovered. Similarly, b'cse their idea of God stems from limitations, they think their critically talking about their messenger should come under blasphemy, in short they have fear that their belief system will collapse, which it will. Abrahamics are idol worshippers. Sanatanis are just seekers trying to connect.

Like the reflection of the sun in a pot of water or in a mirror, God's icon on earth is simply the reflection of the original. Destroying the pot or the mirror does not impact the Sun. Destroying the icon does not destroy God.

Remember the Destruction of Troy: In the moment when Achilles beheaded the statue of the Sun God (Surya Narayan) he sealed his destiny to be killed in Troy! Even when the Murti (the Spiritual Telephone) is destroyed, the consequences of the Destruction have to be consumed by KARMA!

Essence of SANATANA dharma is not tolerance or equality but TRUTH

Hindustan ( India ) Hinduism is being attacked from 1000 years yet we are still standing ! Only ancient religion still standing and growing and we are proud of it ! This is bcoz a true devotee will always be a good human and world can see that

Though I am a proud hindu myself,I think we should learn to accept reality. What happened to bangladeshi and pakistani hindus? Weren't they followers of same dharma? Nothing is eternal. If you won't raise your voice for sanatan dharma then sanatan dharma too would vanish sooner or later. Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah!
