Furia farmed a lot of kills, but they failed to close many games due to their playstyle and lack of experience when closing a game by winning only 2-3 in the whole tournament. 100T was the most solid team out there and their experience showed up from getting KP when they needed to but also balancing it with placement(they won 5-10games).

This way, even if they don’t win overall, they secure enough points that no one else would catch up. If I’m. It mistaken, they had the most points out of anyone, just not the match point win.

Shame how reacted to his loss though. Lost all support for him after that. Losing 5 chances on match point was ultimately due to his conscious decisions yet he shows HORRIBLE sportsmanship after the fact. Acted extremely egotistic and ungrateful despite winning the MVP award and despite his teammate Xeratricky being very happy for second place and congratulating the winning team. Their plays were insane leading up to match point, no doubt about that, but not adapting for the win and apeing unnecessarily is what cost them. Shame his ego is too big to have adapted and to accept that fact. Oh well, ggs anyway

Personally though I was hoping GMT would take it all. Had absolutely no clue who they were going into this weekend, came out of the tournament LOVING them. Their energy is just so great - constant smiles and hype. Especially that listen-in where they were like "Are you listening to us?! Yeeaaah!" Love those guys. Were very entertaining and easy to root for. Glad that clutch win from Rambeau helped them get a top 5 spot!

An alternate point of view: if it's not broken don't fix it i.e. why adjust their playstyle when it brought success the entire tournament? They played how they see fit and performed exceptionally. You can see they were confident, dominant and most importantly comfortable. HisWattson won MVP in his FIRST LAN and disproved multitudes of haters. I'm a firm believer in talking your shit if you can back it up.

You're assuming that they can just switch comps and magically win a game, at the highest level this game has ever seen. Their strategy of farming kp worked exactly as intended, and kept them at the top of the leaderboard, securing at min the 300k bag

UNCALLED FOR xD at that point, Everyone is hating that they were greifing, trashing other teams and these teams would complain bc they couldnt climb the leaderboard.. but in reality they're all smart enough to know if they really wanted first they could camp the entire game out, run zone, these kids are professionals, they know how to play. I think the fact they were running around fighting everyone proves that they were TRYING to give everyone a chance. They didnt want to end the tourni after what like 3, 4 games? I think they, especially wattson, clearly shown in this video, were all trying to show skill, show they believed that they were actually overskilled for the tournament they were at,, truth is everyone in this lobby were gamers, all cracked asf, but FURIA had a team of actual nerds, kids who are past the point of just trying, they're just immersing. Completely destroyed that comp, and if they did want to, and were broke as hell, couldve ended the show early as hell.

People talk and talk, FURIA ended number 2 in ALGS which is a great feat by itself, and if the format was different, like point based they would have won. It's easy to talk when it's not you playing against all odds and the best players in the world.

No The difference is furia don't camp. They push teams. Look for kills. Unlike others like tsm that play just for placement and not kills. It's a camp fest. Reason furia was the most fun to watch. They ain't pussys hiding in a building for 20 mins

They still performed way better than any other team in the algs, we barely see any DarkZero highlights in the final 6 games lol, they were camping most of the games while Furia doubled the points they had, DZ won only because of the match point format, otherwise they could not keep up in the 6 games.
