Necessity demands supreme actions to end the threat. Including self sacrifice. If the action to eliminat that station doesn't cement relations, then nothing will.

This structure was destroyed. It was the base. But not the home world of the enemy. Taking it out to me is winning a huge battle. You took out a super space carrier. But they might have a dozen more. Gain every piece of intel you can, rearm, be ready for next super space carrier *or 3* to invade next week.

These stories seem AI generated or maybe translated from another language. I always get an uncanny valley feeling from roadtripper stories and chat gpt convos.

Yeah, I felt the same. I've played around with AI chatting and the way this was written seems like an OpenAi style of writing. It's hard to explain, but you can just tell the difference.

The story never slows to consider that the human outpost in the nebula was an invasion of the territory of the insectoid species that the humans and the Centory joined forces against. And that their actions against the humans was an attempt to repel an invasion of their territory.

hmm , did either side try diplomacy at first encounter after all if you dont have something in place to show a place is claimed , you cant blame others for setting up shop

I get there are people that always blames the west for everything. But can't we at least unite as humans against bugs

We must meet this threat with our courage, our valor, indeed with our very lives to ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates this galaxy *now and always*!

There are quite a number of contradictory statements in the story. The two civilizations have cultural exchanges and spend weeks negotiating, yet seemingly nothing is accomplished and the humans learn nothing about the Centory? The human outpost is said to be on the Terran side of the nebula and then said to be located behind enemy lines? Admiral Ward doesn’t believe the Centory are behind the loss of outpost communications and then says he has been worried (from the beginning) the outpost was in danger so close to the border? Jorel offers support while near Centory space, yet the Atlantis goes to Sol with Jorel’s ship still inside: Why would the Centory rendezvous at Sol and then travel back to their own border? There are still other instances of contradictory plot points that make the story tend toward nonsense.

GTA 5, starts at the very top of the map and coasted down along the right side, and stayed around the small town around the top center right.

The viewscreen of the mind and the imagination of the reader or listener that creates the mental images to match the story as it unfolds, will always be far richer then simply watching a video that someone else created. Entering the theater of your mind does take a little more effort then just looking at a video, especially if you are new to the idea, but the worlds and characters that unfold in your mind will be far more detailed and unique with your active mental participation then any video could ever be. It's one thing to watch a video showing the captain of a space warship on the bridge as he commands his ship in battle. It's quite something else to be standing next to that captain in the theater of your mind as the battle rages around you. If this is something you've never done, it might take a little practice and willingness to unleash your imagination, but the reward is worth it. Try it sometime for yourself and see if you don't agree. Oh, and yes, I do also enjoy videos as well, but stories that require the imagination to watch are rather special and unique unto themselves.
