I love the love you verbally give "your dear cameraman," and I love these close up shots!! Most KZbin gardeners don't share the spotlight well with their shrubs, trees, and flowers, but you do an excellent job of making the plant the feature while still looking spectacular and brimming with joy and excitement! 🎉❤💮 I prefer hydrangeas and azaleas to roses, but the more I watch your channel the more I'm itching to pull the trigger on my first rose purchase!! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful garden with us all. 😊🌱🌹

OMG thank you so much for this gorgeous and beautiful tour of your garden! You have given me so many ideas. My lot size is small but the Town owns the land behind my house which makes my lot look much bigger. I’ve never thought to make a garden den at the end of my lot. And I love the trellis or valance or whatever you call them that u use for your climbers. You are very talented.

It is a joy to watch all the greenery and beautiful roses with the sweet sound of birds in the background. Thank you for the lovely video Olga! I bought the Shropshire Lad rose the same time as you. Mine only bloomed twice the first year, but the blooms were so gorgeous that it's totally worth any downsides. It didn't grew much during the season, so I was a bit underwhelmed with it. This early spring my husband and I moved it to another location in the garden and what we found out is that it put all of its energy into developing roots. They were humongous and so strong that we struggled to take it out. If yours is still looking somewhat small, it's probably because it's doing the same thing as mine, which is putting a lot of strong roots. As I live in a colder zone 5 I was so scared that it may not survive the winter (mine is grafted) that I took a cutting and propagated another one on own root. My experiment was successful and now I have another own root Shropshire lad. So happy! 😊
@OlgaCarmody
@OlgaCarmody Жыл бұрын
Yes, Shropshire Lad is slow, which is fine with me. I really don't like slow beginnings, but I know that plant is working hard on establishing all that root system, as you said. Well, next year I will see the blooms, I still have to build a support for those climbers there.

Olga i just love you! I love your personality and love of gardening! You get so excited and it makes me smile and chuckle . I would also get this excited if I had your beautiful garden. You made me laugh when you saw the red rose at the base of the generous gardener. The shock and horror on your face was so funny bless you. I was looking very closely at the generous gardener on your low fence and looking how you managed to keep it so low without it falling everywhere , as you know I have a lot of problems with the vigour of mine. It's so interesting to watch how you train your roses. May I ask what beautiful rose you have going over the entrance into your back garden above the huge hosta please? X

@OlgaCarmody
@OlgaCarmody Жыл бұрын
Good suggestion about vinegar, I should try it and see the results. Give your rose some shade and rest, don't put it on the strong sun, maybe very dappled shade. Airy space should help too. That was not a reputable shipping company. Your rose is going through transportation shock. Make sure she is well hydrated.
