I love that you bring out that starting to take care of yourself again is the first step to recovery! And that no one is getting hooked because of programs like this... Random question but how do people who self-harm (specifically those who cut) avoid getting tetanus? Or any infection?

as a former self harmed (specifically cutting) i just got the shot when i was like twelve and never had any problems. it could have been that i was lucky but i took no precautions whatsoever

for tetanus: don’t use anything rusty/ anything with fecal matter particles on it (disgusting, I know 😭) for infection: clean your blades and make sure to clean the c*ts/b*rns, keep silver on hand if you have it
