At least said animals were wild and free, unlike the trillions that were brought into existence only to be eaten. So, hopefully, you aren't a part of the 99% of society who perpetuates completely unnecessary animal exploitation? Live and let live; live vegan.

I live in a trailer park where the speed limit is 10 miles per hour. Our cat was sleeping in front of our driveway and someone sped up and swerved and ran her over on purpose. We have this all on camera. She didn’t see it coming and died instantly. The people then sped off while people yelled for them to stop. All that to say thank you for respecting the animal and not letting it continue to get destroyed by traffic. I wish more people were like you and had more love for animals.

I have vivid memories of the times I’ve taken lives of animals driving a car or witnessed the aftermath of someone else doing so. In a particularly traumatizing incident a co-passenger suggested that I harvest feathers from the owl, and I’ve always regretted not doing that. But I remember them.

There's no disrespect inherent in having a part of an animal, rather it's a feather on your hat or its leather on your boots - I say this as a vegan myself. The disrespect comes when we put our having a piece over our self proclaimed values of being against animal cruelty by *buying* products made by needlessly, abusively exploiting and killing those animals just so we can proudly display pieces of their corpse for vanity's sake. What you're doing is deeper than that, and I'm seeing nothing but respect in that myself

Here’s something you can do. Make people aware that all lives matter, and we need to be kind to all. It’s awful how some people think it’s a sport to kill a defenseless animal. A sport is both sides are equally armed/prepared. Until animals are treated kindly, violence in the world will not stop.
@Anomalous-Plant2 ай бұрын
I did this with a crow, years ago. Their partner was mourning, flying in circles above them. I picked it up later, once they had had moved on. Collected some of the feathers and buried it. But I feel bad I did. I wish I left it in the woods for scavengers to eat. We all have a short, borrowed time here, after which what we are made of returns for others to use.

Also by putting the dead animal in the bush you are saving another animal from dying, as possums and other animal would have gone out and tried to eat it and they also would die from cars

I hate to see dead wildlife in the road, like discarded rubbish. Once I watched a squirrel being caught up in a car wheel. As ut spun out into the road i managed to catch it, took it to the roadside and hekd the poor little mite until its last breath. The driver didn't care, but the squirrel was laid beneath a tree, so the earth could take him back.

While I love seeing comments of compassion, the vast majority of the people in this thread eat and wear animals, and somehow fail to realize they have blood on their hands for paying others to breed sentient beings into existence only to be unalived at the age of a few weeks to a couple years at most. At least wild animals get to be free, unlike the trillions of beings raised in captivity, leading horrible lives until their extremely premature deaths.
@tofudoesntscream2 ай бұрын
And yet you just posted a video of your homemade shoes made from "dear friends"; shoes of sheep, cow, and deer victims. Animals are not ours to exploit for any reason, from serving as footwear to food. Be consistent in your ethics.
