@@NPC97536Truth. I haven't looked into this specific case, but there are a few grades of charges this one can bring. Anywhere from a Class A misdemeanor to a class C felony. If he got hit with it as a felony charge, that means he's never going to be allowed to carry or even own a firearm again unless it gets overturned or completely expunged. And it pretty much destroys any career or higher education prospects if he ever wanted to go down that road later in life. I get why they had to convict on that per the letter of the law since he objectively met the elements of the statute and there's less room for interpretation, but the outcome sucks.

@@Aiden-lm8mo Yes, let the strange man, who towers over you in height, mumbling nonsense and his accomplice stalk after you EVEN longer and increase the odds that you will be attacked while you search for a rent-a-cop and just hope that the weirdo leaves you alone. Alan told Tanner to leave him alone multiple times, and threatened to call the police, and yet Tanner persisted. You don't fool around and try to scare someone when you have a gun, especially at that range where Tanner could have just as easily tried to grapple for it. The fact of the matter is that if you believe that your life is in danger, when you feel it's justified to pull out a concealed-carry gun, you better use it. There's no question of "maturity" here and it seems like the jury that acquitted Alan agreed.

@@Aiden-lm8mo You need to get your facts straight. He is not currently facing "multiple charges". He is a free man after being convicted of the sole charge of "discharging a gun in public" which the judge ruled his sentence as time served as of December 2023. That charge, in it of itself, was quite frankly bullshit. How can a man be ruled to have been legally carrying a concealed firearm in a place that respects the right of concealed carry, but then be charged for lawfully using said concealed firearm in a manner which the courts find you not guilty of? Funny thing is, the dude who fck around and found out by getting Wild-West close range popped in the stomach, who said he'll do it again stopped doing it lol, he tried but his next video was the most snoozefest prank ever then stopped uploading all together. Dude got TAMED like a dog, by the word of the iron. And he will have that traumatic memory for the rest of his life. So you know, it works, just traumatize a prankster GOOD enough and they will stop.

Why people defending themselves against obviously unhinged pranksters labelled "mentally unstable or criminal". That's like getting kicked in the teeth then, telling the prankster/aggressor, "finish the bottom row!" Why are we normalizing degenerate behavior?

Your analogy is extremely out of propositions and is nothing like the situation of the first clip. It's more like honking your horn at the car in front of you for 17 seconds and then getting shot by the driver that was in the car in front.
