Wife and I had an 80 ac farm. Usually about 50 head of cattle, 100+ goats, 60 Llamas, 11 Camels, 5 Tibetan Yaks and a Zebra. Now in our 70's we sold out and bought 13acres on top of a mountain with a 360 degree view. We built a small home and take care of it with an Exmark, a Ventrac 4500Z with bucket /grapple, power rake and a brush hog . We just purchased a new Bobcat E26 mini excavator (mainly because of you). and it is great. Thank you for your channel.

62 yr old retired attorney. I just took delivery on my first tractor about two weeks ago, got the MX 5400. I have 20 heavily wooded acres in the South Cumberland Mountains of TN, mostly white and red oak. I'm using the tractor to clear a little bit of it. I'm cutting firewood and saving saw logs for later purchase of a sawmill (one equipment learning curve at a time!). Your channel was a big help as i was figuring out what kind of tractor and implements I need. Very happy with the purchase so far. I like that having the tractor gives me lots more things to do outdoors in the wintertime. I keep bees and the busy season with them is spring/summer, so it's nice to add timber work to that mix so I can have projects going all year.

Hi Mike. After six years in the Navy as a Heavy Equipment Operator, I worked for 35 years in the Geotechnical Engineering field. I ran a Mobile Drill B-50 truck mounted drilling rig, dozers and backhoes for about 12 years collecting soil samples for construction recommendations. At the same time I worked in the lab running mechanical tests on soil and material samples and then provided supplies and ran a fleet of 80 vehicles for 45 field technicians and 20 staff personnel. I spent the next 21 years managing soils and materials testing laboratories and overseeing field testing operations for various firms here in the San Diego and Temecula areas. I enjoy watching you work and the progress you've made. Keep it up. And, thanks. P.S.: I had a special needs brother (Downs). Tom led a blessed life. We spent a lot of time with him. Hi Mike, love your videos! Retired for 12 years. Was an Engineer for GM 31 years. Live in the country outside small town in Michigan. Have done most of what your doing, including the saw mill. You need a 4 wheel trailer with removable sides for hauling your logs, just roll them off. 4 or 6 log size will save you 2/3 rds of your time, the longer logs will track great behind tractor, keeps your trails narrow and logs clean. Made a crib the same height as the mill bed with a removable bridge. Would load 6 logs on it and roll them on the mill, one ar a time by hand. And then remove the 3 foot bridge for sawing the log and removing boards and scrap. Put the bridge back down and roll another log on saw bed. Saved from starting tractor up for each log. Like I said, enjoy you work.

Retired from the Air Force in 1989, and drove semi and Heavy Equipment until 2010. I retired a second time. I reside in the Panhandle of Florida, where I fish, Hunt and Camp. Good day young man. You asked what we do, I've been a truck owner operator and now in my 51st year. I got hooked on your channel because it's a trip down memory lane. My Dad raised 2 boys with a frick 00 sawmill. We logged, sawed lumber, sold firewood and sawdust. I now have the old home stead of 11 acers and cut firewood for my own use. And yes, some days, at 66 I use the woods to talk to my dad. Tractors. 8N Ford and R K 19.
