Lemonade is not dark at all (maybe he's thinking of her self-titled album?). Beyonce is very spiritual but does not limit herself to traditional Christianity. Most Christians believe that anything that adopts beliefs or practices from any other belief system, such as African spirituality or pagan religions, is evil. That's a never ending debate and is an insult to those who practice those beliefs and do not consider themselves evil. But Beyonce, though seemingly now more spiritual than religious, grew up in the church and Cowboy Carter has a lot of elements of Catholicism.

This is Michelle’s single that features Beyonce and Kelly. That’s why she is more the focal and in white. Michelle’s solo albums are gospel and she also does Broadway. When each lady put out their solo debut albums they were totally different from each others(Beyonce did pop/rnb, Kelly alt rnb/pop and Michelle was electro rnb then she moved towards gospel. These 3 ladies never had a divide as far as their relationship as they have always worked on each other’s projects and supported each other, still to this day.
@hillbaby024 күн бұрын
As stated in other comments. There was no moral conflict with the ladies. They've done gospel songs in their projects. Beyonce did The Fighting Temptations movie and soundtrack. Celebration and Gospel and this was their first time at The Stellar Awards. It was their first time performing that song and their first time since I believe Beyonce's first Superbowl performance that they've performed together. It was emotional for Michelle. Technically it was Michelle's song and Beyonce and Kelly were features. It was a real Destiny's Child song.

Lemonade is not a DARK album. It's an album that goes thru the stages of betrayal, heartbreak, apology, forgiveness, trust, and redemption. Michelle Williams won a grammy and had a #1 gospel album. There has NEVER been a divide nor a division between the ladies. They are all still the best of friends. They simply wanted to explore the solo artist side of the music industry. If you notice, they were introduced in this performance by their individual names and NOT as "Destiny's Child". This is Michelle's song featuring Kelly & Beyoncé. They have continued to sing background vocals on each other's solo musical projects all these years later.

At this point in their careers, Destiny 's child decided to feature on one song in each other's projects. There was no division between these 3. Beyonce, Michelle, and Kelly are still very close. Maybe you guys are thinking about the 2 other original Destiny's Child members Letoya and Latavia. Michelle came after the other 2 members Letoya and Latavia were no longer in the group. Beyonce, Michelle, and Kelly have always been very close. Michelle, Kelly, Letoya, and Latavia actually all went to Beyonce's Renaissance concert and they all took pictures together. That was actually the only pictures of all 5 Destiny's Child members together! All 5 of the members past and present are on good terms. Letoya actually made a small cameo in Michelle's music video called If We Had Your Eyes years ago. You guys should react to If We Had Your Eyes by Michelle Williams. The message in that song is what the world needs right now. It's from Michelle's gospel album. The message in that video is simple yet profound and it's what people need in the times that we are living in. Michelle is currently on Broadway. She's the lead in Broadway musical Maleficent. Beyonce, Kelly, and Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles attended the show to support Michelle. They are like sisters and they always support each other.

I’m just here for the engagement.🍿 Happy New Year, guys!!!🎉 My only comment is geared towards Nathan’s view of the seemingly darker journey her music sounds like it begins to take. Beyoncé expressed in her self titled album, she wanted to basically be who she is. She’d had a baby but didn’t want to lose herself, her sexuality, etc…. I think the shift aligns with her experiences in life. There is so much more to learn about her journey. She’s had such a long career and has managed to stay relevant the entire time….even when there was no music, tours, interviews or visuals.

That’s a gross misinterpretation of Lemonade and of her “controversy”. It’s supposed to be soul bearing. It’s her at her most vulnerable and that’s what people wanted to see from her for so long until that point. It’s not a dark album. It explores the stages of grief. And the hate…It’s literally been happening her entire career since she was a teen who just entered the industry. Every single person who ever meets her says the same thing. That she’s the kindest, most genuine, graceful and humble person. And we’ve seen her be those things her entire career. The conspiracy theories are baseless. Beyoncé is not a gospel artist so she’s not gonna have gospel music. She HAS performed gospel songs before and she also grew up in church like most Black singers from back then. She sang lead at the church choir. And there was no divide either. Not between these 3. They are still the best of friends and have always shown love and support no matter what. And have performed together. Kelly and Beyoncé was just at Michelle’s Broadway show supporting her. Everything you said was just wrong lol but you don’t know so it’s expected. There is a reason Beyoncé is so widely loved and revered by the entire music industry old and new. People deny her talent. They deny everything positive about her and push their conspiracy theories. They had a whole hate website dedicated to her back in the day. Men never get these allegations. Really nobody else does except her and Jay Z and you have to understand that it’s bc they are the richest most powerful couple in media. Jay being the richest musician alive and Bey being one of the richest musicians and the most influential and impactful person in modern music. Here in America, race is always a factor. If they were a white couple, they wouldn’t care. They are the only ones who get told that they MUST have sold their souls and done something disgusting to get where they are. No one else.

I would say that Lemonade was a sadder Beyoncé but not “evil.” Like Ryan said people accuse mega celebrities of devil worship just because they are easy targets. There was no ripple OR rift. Michelle was a Christian artists who joined the group knowing the music they made (sexy pop/r&b). During her time with the group they never forced her to do anything. She was the most modestly dressed always and they made gospel/uplifting music all the time. Beyoncé herself talks about god a lot in multiple projects. She sung a gospel song at the Grammys a few years back. She even was in a movie where her character played a woman the church looked down on but ultimately accepted her (Fighting Temptation). The only recent rift she’s had is when she sampled a gospel song for a trap record on Renaissance other than that, she not some demon.

This might get lost in the comments but it seems even the fans here dont know the backstory. BY THE LADIES OWN WORDS DC NEVER OFFICIALLY BROKE UP. There were issues w/Beys dad as their manager (depending on reports at the time he was either misappropriating funds at best stealing at worst). They fired him but didnt want him to continue to profit from them. But because he owned the naming rights of DC if they performed hed still profit. To get around that, whenever they performed together its as Kelly, Michelle and Beyoncé and never DC. They actually planned on coming back after their initially solo projects but Beys dad messed it up. So theres no rift between the ladies. They still love and support one another.

Lemonade is not a dark album, it’s album about being betrayed in a relationship when you thought everything was good and solid. In the album she goes through multiple stages; anger, hurt, denial, acceptance, and forgiveness. What about that is dark? Genuinely asking
@WelpHereWeAreOnYouTube3 күн бұрын
Totally fair question - and you're right, Lemonade is a powerful journey through some raw emotions. When we called it ‘dark,’ we were probably feeling the weight of those heavier moments (Beyoncé doesn’t exactly hold back!). But you’re right - it’s ultimately about healing and growth. Maybe ‘intense’ fits better than ‘dark.’ Appreciate the insight - always down to see things from a different angle

Michelle Williams was always the more religious of the group. No, it had nothing to do with the separation of the group. The hate that Beyonce gets has nothing to do with it either. Beyonce has received hate and conspiracy theories from the beginning of her career. Some people are just mean and evil, I feel like it comes jealousy and envy. Beyonce didn't feel out of place, she sings about God all of time. Beyonce had to develope thick skin to deal with the haters.
@deevasquez11714 күн бұрын
Dunno what division you mean, I think it’s evident that the gospel community would naturally hate any kind of worldly music, that’s a given. However Beyonce grew up in the church and knows how to sing gospel, her music isn’t gospel, but neither is Kelly’s music, but Beyonce will always get the blame for no reason. Michelle got into destinys child when they were making love songs, intimacy songs, flirtatious songs. The idea that Destiny’s child was at any point gospel and then Beyonce changed isn’t real. Destinys child’s music fits right into everything Beyonce made into her solo career. With the exception of Lemonade, Renaissance and CC.
