1. When Jesus wept, the falling tear
In mercy flowed beyond all bound,
When Jesus groaned, a tremb’ling fear
Seized all the guilty world around.
2. When Jesus prayed in agony,
And with His sweat-drenched head bowed down;
“O Father, take this cup from Me;
Yet not My will but Yours be done.”
3. When Jesus bled upon the cross,
Before the mocking of the throng;
Has Paradise once more been lost,
Or Satan’s schemes been proven wrong?
