Hi everyone I have been playing UMVC3 recently and I am running a team that consists of Wesker, Super-Skrull, and Hulk. I was hoping if anyone can give me some tips so I can be a better player with this team?

From what I see, you don’t have any particularly good assist options in neutral, which might be a challenge in opening people up. Also, Hulk isn’t a particularly good anchor so you might want to switch your order up so that he’s first and either Skrull or Wesker is in that 3rd slot.

Skrull A assist is deeecent in neutral, at least, but itd definitely be nice to add a strong assist character that can help you at full screen.

@@coolcrash3ali134 sadly, I would drop one of them. So pick 2 out of your current 3. For example, you could go with Wesker-XX-Skrull. For the assist, some really good choices are Sentinel drones (the drones let’s you do 2 meteor smashes actually lol), Doom (all his assists are good), Akuma tatsu, or other beam assists (Dante guns, Strange bolts, Iron Man beam) I personally used to run Skrull-Wesker-Akuma actually. Akuma is a pretty good anchor, his assist is good in neutral and it also works as a good get-off-me assist.

Iron man is garbage. When you say "you have to be a thinker, not a masher", what that actually means is that Iron Man's hitstun is so bad that he's unable to confirm off of hits you didn't expect, and unable to confirm off of a lot of hits you might have otherwise expected. Doom is just an Iron Man with hit stun. That means, unlike Iron Man, Doom can confirm off of a dozen different random normals that might hit you in a scramble, like half screen buttergun or crossup air to air jM. The result of this, is that characters with trash hitstun are bad in a scramble, and have less moves at their disposable. There's no point trying to limit your own play to make sure Rocket Raccoon doesn't jump and hit you with jM, because RR can't confirm off of jM, because RR's hitstun is garbage, which makes RR garbage for anything but a great assist. IM is similarly garbagio, and his beam assist is not enough to make up for it when other great horizontal assists exist.

IIRC Malonik is a hulk player and armor&active-frames counters Jill hard, so I believe the whooping part, but it's not Corky's fault. Corky never blocked me for stepping on Jill with whackbot tho.

she's so good that she could be replaced by 30 different characters and you'd get the exact same results. this is a spammers game that's never been balanced correctly. you can triple random and get a team that will kill a character in 1 touch at least 50% of the time.
