Brilliant video. Sadly, it won’t be until Floyd is no longer here that people will finally admit that he is the greatest boxer in history. He’s not even my favourite fighter, and just like Michael Jackson isn’t my personal favourite musical artist, I don’t argue the fact that Jackson is simply the best to ever do it. @@Broshauni honestly think Pernell Whitaker is the Southpaw Floyd, because he also uses his defense to create offense. Shakur is more similar to Mayweather’s last 2-3 fights out of his prime. @@kingkeese502 What u said about Pernell is valid. Sweet pea is a all time great. I agree. I disagree on the statement u said bout Shakur doe. He can turn offense into defense vice versa. I think people put so much stock in Gatti's back-and-forth fights, like his trilogy with Micky Ward, that they didn't see going in how obvious it was that Mayweather and Gatti were on two different levels. BTW, another similar example where one fighter took apart another is Floyd's uncle Roger against Vinny Pazienza.

@CorporateHustler24 Augustus as well. You know it's appears guys can adjust to being knocked out with one or two punches than to really be out boxed and dominated in the ring the way Gotti was. Floyd proved he was better in every aspect and skill set of the fight. Left no question, and it was very embarrassing and humiliating for Gotti. I know because I had a hard time watching it. Have a sparring next Thursday without active experience. Need some tips. Soooo, the scenario is me, sparring against a schoolmate next Thursday who has been boxing for about a year, but is said to be stiff and pretty bad, he's doing it about once a week for approximately 1 hour in a „hobby" gym. I think I'm able to beat him, because our weight is almost the same, my stamina is a lot better than his and I fence since 2017. FYI: I think that helps a lot with fluidity etc. In my footwork and I got rhythm. I know the basic punches and watch some fighters like Inoue, Mayweather and Loma. And think I can hit pretty good in opposition, my lateral movement is good and I'm fast naturally. I can pace myself and know probably more strategy than him and I stay relatively calm. I've started training for the sparring a week ago and everything is going good. Do you have tips for me? I'm not doing this to disrespect him, he was toxic and I thought why not giving it a shot after he offered a sparring jokingly. (I really want to win.) Are there things to keep in mind, which are not too obvious? PS: We spar with mouthpiece, headgear and 12 ounce gloves.

Negative. This is off by multiple years. He last fight Floyd wasn’t visibly struggling with hand pain was Augustus. And you can tell. He’s absolutely TEEING off on Augustus but this was also the last fight Floyd was missing wildly . Augustus was very slick even while getting massacred this was just prime Floyd in every sense. Against Diego he didn’t even throw his main punch latter rounds and you can hear him complaining about it in the corner . Which says a lot bc corrales was every at this point and he made him look like a novice. I don’t correct to be a prick I do so 1. To give Emanuel some love as he had to endure a lot and actually made Floyd work 2. Frame Floyd’s style change to newer fans who might read that. Anytime they are watching after he had a lightweight belt, just know there was considerably more he had to threaten with that he’s simply unable to even deploy

People are quick to say this is the last time we saw Pretty Floyd. But Floyd fights this way in all fights where his opponent is attack focused. Gatti, Mosley, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, and Canelo being the standout bouts. The only thing that makes this fight more glaring is Gatti's poor defense and Floyd being at peak. This is what is ridiculous about Boxing throughout the Decades. Gatti should never have been in the same Ring as Mayweather. A level "C" boxer taking on the top tier of the "A" level Boxers. Gatti was not only out boxed, he was humiliated and punished by Mayweather. Same with McGregor, that fight should never have happened. Mayweather toyed with him, tired him out, then proceeded to stop him. Sad, when your people are prepared to endanger your health, in the hope that, you might beat someone they hate!

@BrownBomber92181 He did as well, but give Gotti what he asked for. There were a lot of people still not believing Floyd was the real deal, including Gotti and his team. Talking much trash, as always, they switch up after the fight just like with Canelo to young excuse. Monday morning quarterback excuses. No stand on what you said before the fight.

Floyd cherry pick Gatti. Floyd said it himself that Gatti is a class C fighter etc...

Gatti was a bum (facts, he was an espn made fighter, not a payperview champion) and Floyd per usual was ducking real competition at the time. Of course he destroyed him. The odds were like 20000000000000 to 1 in Floyds favor.

Who could Floyd have ducked at the time?

At the end of the 1st round, there was nothing brilliant about that move by Floyd. The ref yelled stop punching and get off of his head. Floyd took advantage and hit well after the break 3 times, that was a BS move. The ref also messed up by just shrugging his shoulders, he shoulve physically broke them because Gatti couldn't protect himself in that position
@BrownBomber92181
@BrownBomber92181 Ай бұрын
You're also forgetting that the ref tells both fighters when I yell stop punching, or break, that means stop punching and take a step back. Gatti did exactly that and was sucker punched and knocked down

The Ref also cautions both fighters to protect yourselves at all times!
@BrownBomber92181
@BrownBomber92181 Ай бұрын
@xaviermack1449 thats correct, but protect yourselves at all times doesn't give you permission to intentionally foul, hurt your opponent and get away with it because "protect yourselves at all times". Thats not how it works
@BrownBomber92181
@BrownBomber92181 Ай бұрын
@@xaviermack1449 also Gatti couldn't protect himself because Floyd was pushing his head down, and punching him with the other hand. Thats why the ref needed to physically break them, not just yell break
