Honestly, the way the camera stayed on them at the back of the bus in The Graduate turned the whole movie from an exciting steal the bride moment to a "my god, what have I done" moment. Amazing how one unplanned scene can change the whole movie.

Improvisations aren’t bloopers.
@sandoumir43485 ай бұрын
Not to mention half of the clips weren't 'unscripted'. (video synopsis states that) An actual ambulance on duty driving across a movie set? An accidental St Patrick's Day Parade scheduling overlap? FX department forced to animate someone biting a tentacle and not just edit the 1.5 seconds out? See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil by accident, or maybe just one of many takes, not to mention quite an obvious thing to do with 3 apes next to eachother. Why were there 3 to begin with? Holding the book 'improvised'? No, it was absolutely necessary for the scene. The rotating blades have to be shown to be capable of killing Anthony's character without being allowed to show it killing him. Jeopardy question being clearly audible during a scene? Etc. Etc. And when his own lines say: they decided to *add* it to the script / movie quite literally means scripted: they hadn't thought of it before shooting but life has a way of introducing creative ideas that you can actually use to creatively create something creative. The only blooper in this is "Thanks, Alex for the voiceover" 's pronunciation of the word Caribbean and the placement of the comma in that sentence.

I completely agree. Spontaneity is a part of film making; just because something wasn't originally scripted but made up on the spot doesn't make it a blooper. Bloopers tend to be left out, or even worse, left in only due to oversight.

It seems as though the Lord of the Rings trilogy is one well-timed ad-lib or accident after another. It makes me think Tolkien's ghost was making adjustments along the way from the flag flying off, Gandalf hitting his head, to Aragorn breaking his toes.
