This is the problem...we put these people on pedestals because they're "pretty" or "attractive "....they're followed ALL over the internet and on every SM platform. The more followers, the bigger their egos become and in turn, so does their sense of entitlement and the feeling they're untouchable. People have placed physical "beauty " above better judgement, intelligence and simple common sense. I don't understand it but they're (wrongly, in my opinion) idolized for all the wrong reasons. Sadly, substance means little anymore. Don't misunderstand me, I'm sure there are some out there who are wonderful people, people with plenty of positive things to share but, from what I've seen thus far, there aren't many. Social media is painfully shallow and idiotic.. I can say without lying, that I don't follow anyone just bc of their looks. And brainless stupidity, never. Talent, personality and intelligence, humor are more important to me, over 70% of channels I sub on YT, I have zero clue what the creator even looks like.. In instagram I follow bands, art, etc for their talent, Twitter I use for politics and humor.. I don't select them based on looks..

I follow several KZbin channels, true crime documentaries, court cases, things of that nature....like you, I have no desire to follow influencers . Substance is much more important, IMHO, than looks or money. Give me intelligence, a sharp wit, a fantastic sense of humor and the ability to exercise the "grey matter" between ones ears ,any day, over physical beauty or wealth . I'm right there with you friend....the world has come to value people for all the wrong reasons .

When you're arrested and considered innocent until you're proven guilty those charges are 'alleged' because they're not proven yet right ie. they suspect you did them but still have to prove it in court. What you're calling arrested under suspicion is the exact same thing. In Australia its not unusual for our media to phrase it that way when reporting on crimes but it never means what you're describing, they're getting charged.
