@rico11b26 In aikido, the desired outcome is to de escalate conflict and preserving the possibility of reconciliation. In combat sports, this outcome is unavailable. So what you mean to say is that aikido is unable in the very specific context of combat sports.

@rico11b26 You’re imagining a power fantasy. I’m talking about the practicalities of real life. In the real world most people will never find themselves in a “battle to the death” and if they did, unarmed martial arts wouldn’t be of much if any use. On the other hand, there are hundreds of millions of people in the world who work in caring professions. And if you have adult patients, to whom you have a duty of care, who regularly have explosive violent outbursts, through no fault of their own, then you don’t want a battle, you want to reconcile while keeping everyone safe from harm. In real life you want harmony, not battle.

I confirm, i hâve some practice in AÏKIDO and UKE or a student is juste wearing a NINJA costume ,it' s juste Ridiculous of thinking that he will be a NINJA Warrior of ancients times. A true NINJA had many skills of THE practice of killing anybody .They were THE SEAL ,THE S.A.S ,THE SPÈCIAL FORCES and THE BLACK OPS in Each time of these ancient period and Middle âge. An AIKIDO Master event If he had been Grand Master Morihei UESHIBA couldn't face and win a fight with a Real NINJA Warrior . They were pratically unbeatable...
