Unexpected things happen to anyone not to you only - the Nature is a great Lord. I do understand your feelings and situation, but be glad please, that there is any water at all, and immagine how happy moment it will be when everything is done.

Dear Kalle, I can tell from this video that you are seeing all the problems instead of the opportunities with this project. You have been granted a very special gift.. one many would most envious of.. an artesian well.. flows continuously and is usually of very good quality and bacteria-free. You have an endless supply of fresh water. You can use this water to irrigate your garden, lawn, create a pond. With the right equipment and set up, you can use this to supply a geothermal furnace to extract the heat from that water to heat your home, your studio, you sauna, without needing to bury pipe or drill multiple wells. Your problem is a blessing in disguise! Wishing you and the family the best of luck. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Tom.

Thought the same. Why being so negative about it? An endless supply of clean water.. He couldn't be more lucky.. And on top the community paid for it. I'm actually tired of people who constantly complain and who are not able to change their perspective and be grateful for the things life provides them with.

I live in Sitka, Alaska, and many years back the state decided to dig a well for one of our campgrounds and they struck an artesian water system! What a blessing for the entire town this has been for us! For a long time the water was just coming out of a pipe and the overflow was routed off away from the campsites. Later they manage to put a tap on it. Maybe it seems like a lot of work, but this will provide pure water forever. The artesian wells at Jericho in Israel have been providing water for at least 10,000 years with no end in sight. Billions of people on this planet would love what you have been blessed with! And congratulations on your son. He is also a great blessing considering how many people have trouble having children. 🥰

I'll be honest - having a stream right in front of your house sounds like a very cool thing just for the sound alone. Many people living in remote areas usually show it as a feature of what that life provides. I think the kids would love to play with it someday. Sure, it's ugly now but it can also be something very cool.

You have a glorious cabin in the woods, another residence that you stay at, a brand new baby boy who is healthy, and WATER. With all due respect, most of us who have been through this process had to pay for our own well, and build our own pump house. You are a very lucky guy. Projects always have surprises and unexpected costs. It's a part of life. When you choose to live in the woods, away from city water and sewer, this is all part of it. We came home to a cracked pipe from the pumphouse and our whole front yard was flooded. It's part of living this lifestyle.

Kalle, I can feel your heart. Like you just feel overwhelmed and just need to sit down and have a good cry. 8 days in the hospital and now this. So so much to deal with all at once. Times like these can feel suffocating and draw you into yourself where you feel life will never be easy again. Becoming a parent is huge. Just huge. Even when you want it very much. Everything feels suddenly different. Then the well drilling did not meet your expectations. This will all work out. In a year it will all be just memories and stories. But for now, I am sending you WAVES of love, light and joy. I can spare some and I give it to you. Also, the rest of the money needed will come in very quickly now. I can feel it. Much love to you and your new family, Kelli (Idaho, USA).

If you get water at the depth you mentioned, consider yourself fortunate. Our well in Western Canada was well over 100 meters. Ours wells here have the pump attached to Poly pipe at the bottom of the well and the power lines for the pump then come up the casing to a 220 volt circuit breaker and the required pressure switch. P.s. in a few days this will all be beside you and it will not seem as bad. Cheer up, lots of people in parts of the world would be happy to have your problem. You have a fabulous supply of clean , cold water.

I am so sorry you had an underground blow out while drilling your water well. They are somewhat common in the oil and gas industry, but rare with water wells. It is always a daunting task to fix the problem. I can’t begin to tell you how many times in my life I have uttered the words “why me? Why can’t anything ever go smoothly?”. I think it’s because people like us are story tellers and when we are old, we will have a tresure trove of good stories. If everything in our lives went smoothly, we wouldn’t have lived a worthwhile life.

Dear Kalle, remain hopeful! No one is in your shoes or been through everything you have leading up to this moment, but there is always a solution to “problems” and if this is happening, there is something great coming out of it 🙏🏼 from what I read in the comments, it seems actually like a blessing to have such powerful and abundant water in your living space. I can totally relate to being really tired of life’s challenges, and letting my mind create more drama around them. This will pass and everything will turn out for the better. Sending you the best solution-oriented vibes! “Future you” will be so thankful you went through this shit. And your family will benefit greatly from it 🫶🏼

Hi Kalle. I can sympathize. I spent four years building an off-grid house in northern Canada. I did all the work myself. There were many times I felt discouraged as things didn't go the way I wanted. But I did complete it. My wife and I have been living in it for two years now. My son was born just as I was finishing it up. He just turned three. He knows how all the systems in the house work already and helps his mom with the planting in the greenhouse and wants to help me with all my projects around the property. He is the biggest blessing we ever received. Congrats on your son and hope everything goes well with your little family in the future.

Kalle, Thanks for sharing, and for keeping it real. I know a lot of people are saying "look at the bright side, be grateful, etc.", which is well-meaning, and important advice, but it's a place that you already dwell in. You are a very positive, grateful person--you definitely do not lack in that area. In the moment, when things are going wrong, you can recognize the feelings of frustration, and still be grateful. The two states can and do co-exist. Your feelings are 100% valid, human, and real. That is one of the things I love most about this channel. You show your true self and your vulnerability. You don't put on a fake, everything is sunshine and roses, persona when things are challenging. You share with us the victories and the defeats. And amidst the difficulties, your authenticity, positivity and grateful core always shine through. Things may already be looking up--I am a little late in watching this video and I see you've posted two more since--but I know whatever life throws at you and Christine, you will handle it with grace and all will work out in the end. Love to you, Christine and the little one. And Nala and Tus, of course. --Donna

Set a recoverable bridge plug, perforate the casing, run in pipe with a packer on the bottom. Squeeze in cement behind the casing and displace cement inside the pipe and shut in and let the cement harden. Pull out the packer and pipe, drill out any cement in the casing. I left out a step before... Put sand on the bridge plug before cementing. Drill out cement in the casing and pull out drill pipe. Weld a nipple on the casing and install a valve. Wash out sand and recover bridge plug. Shut valve and the water is contained now.

Kalle, you mentioned that you are a perfectionist in one of your videos. I think your frustration and feelings of being overwhelmed are natural, but may intensify because of your being a perfectionist. I suffer from it too and though I know nothing, absolutely nothing, is perfect or goes along without issue, it often does feel like our family is the only one to have to deal with people telling us "it's never happened before." But you know, in the end it almost always works out in our favor because they work harder, and often times find issues right away that they never would have before. A challenge can be a learning experience for all involved. It's a lot for you to go through right now as a new Dad, but you'll make it! SKÅL! to you, Christine and your son.

I feel your pain…. It doesn’t only happen to you. We bought a log cabin ….it only had a surface well but the water had too much copper in it… so eventually we contracted someone to drill another one… they drilled down and hit really good water at 200 feet/61 meters but there was a silt bed just above the water level so they had to put in casing to hold up the silt from falling into the hole and filling the well…. Well although it cost almost twice as much that was all well and good…we’d have good water…. Problem came when they went to put in the casing. Somehow the angle it was drilled in at at was calculated incorrectly and the casing hit ledge rock..they worked for hours trying to get it through but couldn’t…the worst of it was that they couldn’t pull it out either. 😳 They ended up having to fill the rest of the well with gravel right down into the water …thought being the water would seep through it and to the pump. It worked for a while but as time went on the silt clogged the gravel and we had had less and less of a water reservoir …and eventually it clogged almost completely and it had to be backwashed every couple of months …it was never right… definitely can understand your pain… water flooding your property with no way to stop it is a whole other level …. Hope you managed to work out a solution….. congratulations on the Baby!

I moved into my childhood home after my dad died, and it was a nightmare. I loved that house- but being 40 years old, and inhabited by someone who wasn't much into maintenance, and nothing had been replaced since 1976. I had to spend a LOT to get things up to code, replace some worn out things, and essentially put down new flooring, get new windows, deal with dead trees that could fall on the house (one 60foot one nearly did). I would love to live off-grid, independently.... but then ALL of the problems become mine. And, what I really wanted in that house wasn't the building... it was a family, and they were all dead. You've got a great property and cabin. Things will fall into place. Biggest bit of advice- preventative maintenance is ALWAYS cheaper. It was a pleasure to help in a small way. Congratulations on the new baby- and I hope Christine and the little guy are doing well.

The judge-y comments on this are really disheartening. A person can be deeply grateful (for their lives, for all they have, for all they've been gifted, etc.) AND... experience frustration. A person can know, in their heart of hearts, that life is FOR them, AND... they can have moments/days/periods of time where life just feels hard, unfair, or against you. Who among us has not experienced those very real human feelings? This man and his wife just went through a momentous (and, it sounds, extremely challenging) life experience. Here he is, trying to get drinking water available to his family, and he's tired and experiencing some big feelings about the challenges around it all. I would be frustrated (to say the least), too. Yes, all the hard things in life can become gifts... but when you are in the moment, damn, let yourself (and another person) move through the very real and hard human emotions!

Life happens and this seems to have taken it too literally with the "continuously running water". Happenings like this make us stronger and in the end it is how we deal with bumps in our lives road. You and Christine are a creative mind and sure will find a way with this. Best wishes to the birth of your boy!

Would love to have an artesian well like that. If the water tastes good...people buy bottled water all day long. And particularly like water straight from the source. You could set up and bottle and sell it and pay for whatever you need.

Poor Kalle! Probably one of the few times genuinely I seen you annoyed. However, I always try and tell myself something can always be changed, fixed, or replaced. However, anything to do with health is a different story. I got an underlying health issue that needs to be corrected in the near future. And a terminally ill relative. I always try and remind myself but I do understand the feeling of let something go right!

You and Christine are old enough in years and life experiences to realize that expecting life to be fair sets you up for disappointment instead of experiencing gratitude for all your good fortune. Life is interesting when sometimes "unfair". Time & self-reflection will give you the insight to handle all of life's ups & downs with acceptance, courage & grace.

Sorry to hear. And soooo relatable. It often feels like that everything one plans to do - everytime one starts something - it goes wrong. Personally, I take it as an indicator for progress: Because only by being complacent and by remaining in my comfort zone would I avoid the things that go wrong...

Dear Kalle, I'm so sorry! I don't even know what to say, I'm really sooooo incredibly sorry! What a great misfortune. I hope so much that the problem comes to a good end. Yes, water .... is essential for survival, but it's also cruel. It finds its way, you can't stop it. And then there's the birth, which wasn't the way you wanted it to be. I had also thought so much about how I wanted my son to be born - and everything turned out very differently. But the main thing is that mum and baby are doing well now! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!

I think the water situation got out of hand but for sure with this endless water supply there are so much options too. Water will provide life for the family and your garden etc! Stay positive and for sure there will be a good solution that makes this problem a big opportunity 🙏🏼😁

OMG! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I'm so sorry you are having problems. Unbelievably so. Believe me, I know how that feels way too well. It makes you feel like you are being picked on. Be good to yourself. Take little breaks, breathe, hug your baby and girlfriend, and eat and rest well. Not to be negative at all, but I don't think life gets easier. You just learn to get through it and recover and have fun on the weekends and holidays. You are doing a great job. The cabin is looking wonderful. Bless you and your families🏡 19:16

Hi dear Kalle! Don't know if you remember me from the first meetup but I'm happy to tell you that we are also living in a cabin now! I don't want to teach how to live here but only share a sincere warmth that came watching your video and just looking into your eyes. What I wanted to say is that it's hard to see a bigger picture, trust in life when you're maybe just... tired or your inner self-love bucket is empty. I have experienced this myself when stood crying in a beautiful day with chirping birds and almost felt guilty of not feeling any damn joy. And we will not - even if all things go as planned and seem perfect. It's from inside where the happiness flows. For me the key was to come back to my body and senses, understand my needs and take care of them, accept and love even the shittiest feelings inside and perceive challenges as invitations to shift my consciousness. And while writing this I felt a wish to gift you something. Even if you would not even see this comment, but I will write it. I remember so clearly how we were standing in a restaurant in Soleftea, music was playing and I was talking with Christine about women circles. So this would be a gift for all your family, as a congratulations with this big change and also understanding how challenging and demanding it might be for you now. So I am offering you an emotion therapy session with me. It's really powerful, based on Sedona method and Eckhart Tolle's teachings. For me it was life changing. So if you somehow saw this comment and resonated - feel free to contact me ♥ Sincere hugs! Egle

My uncle built a huge house by himself, trucking in water for years til he could afford to drill a well. 300 feet of dry hole, tried again where guaranteed water 350 ft dry hole. The river near them was dammed for a recreational lake, holes stayed dry. Third attempt also failed. Wonder if anyone ever bought that house from him when he retired.
