My husband and I lost our beloved pup of 12 years this past July. We are not even close to being over her death. We're in our 40s and we wonder if we should get another one. Loving and then losing a pet is so hard. I don't know if I can go through it again.

I like dogs more than I like people sailor girl, but I'm right there with you! A lot of people have gone off the deep end with their relationship with their dogs. The pet industry is ready willing and able to help them lose reality, and milk every dollar they can! I'll never forget the day I first saw refrigerated pet food in Safeway!😮🤣 I had a 80 pound dog that lived to 18 1/2, and never ate a thing other than purina dog chow!
