Search for Uhuru YO Bro! Thank You for everything you do! thank you for your vlogs, thank you for giving me a birds eye view of the reality on the ground. I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to get over there and see it for myself. I’ve always wanted to go and visit and I really want to move there one day and you are showing me exactly what I need to see! not the 5star hotels and where white/ or affluent ppl be at you go in the hood with the common folk and me being from the hood here in USA (Philadelphia, PA) I really appreciate that. You have cleared up a lot of misconceptions Ignorant blacks have about the country no matter where we are in the world how long our ancestors have been away that continent is home and little do you know but your videos have helped me make my mind up as to Africa is where I need to be Africa was meant for me and I am meant for it. I work for an airline now and when I get the vacation time to use my traveling privileges I’m trying to make that my first stop. I want to say more but that’s it for now bro thank you though you are appreciated peace, love blessings and safe travels

I hope that one day you'll realize that yes, while Africans are friendly and hospitable, the realization should go more the other way round that Americans are not that hospitable and friendly or personable as people from around the world. I hope more of you guys travel so you can feel what it's like to "live" and not just exist

Thanks for saying that. Lots of Americans are under the impression Africans don't like us. Or Africans expelled certain groups from the country into slavery because of dislike. Its sad because we are family. Black Americans feel unwanted by both nations. Black Americans should learn to get back to their roots and culture. Learn the beauty of a place that forged our ancestors into the strong people that fought, worked and died for us to exist. Thanks. Be blessed

We should be able to host the AAs who want to visit so that they don't spend a lot of money in hotels, make them feel at home so long as one is accepts your neighbourhood ( privileged or less privileged). I love that you are living among real Africans (The locals). I always tell my Ghanaian friends that I have walked in places and communities in Ghana that most of them will not go to. I know the Mamobi area of Accra and have friends there. TRUE MAMOBI STORY TIME: One day, (before I learned to walk on some of the rough African roads. lol) I was walking on a dirt road with lots of pot holes in Mamobi. Well, I miss stepped and I fell down. I literally stopped traffic, that was how bad it was. LOL. The people were so concerned. A Ghanaian friend of mine that was with us asked another Ghanaian, a TOTAL stranger if I can come and use their shower to clean up. They without hesitation said yes. They allowed me to use their shower to clean up and take care of my knee. They did not want or even expect any money in return. How many Americans are going to let a total stranger come in and use their shower? None that I know of. Honestly, because of the criminal culture in America I probably wouldn't have allowed that. At the most Americans would probably pay for them to go somewhere else. Not in Africa. If most LOCAL and AVERAGE Ghanaians can help you, they will! Thanks for sharing. I probably know people that know Nana. Shalom.

Impressed. This is the lifestyle of the working class Ghanaian. In American parlance, you went to the hood. We call the household that you were in - a family compound house. It is the traditional way of living with the extended family. Nowadays, in the cities, the apartments are rented out instead of it being a family compound. You should also do a video on middle class and upper class living. The Western media only showed the rural areas and the slums. That is why now, Africans like to promote the suburbs and planned communities.

If AAs are not African, can't they go and visit? Or you want them in "Israel" as "JEWS"? But that part too used to be Africa. Africa may not be the right name for our continent but for now, that's what Euros are calling it. As soon as we become strong with might, we can change it as we changed Rhodesia to Zimbabwe, Gold Coast to Ghana,Haut Volta to Burkina Faso ect, ect. And for your info, on the continent, people do not call themselves Africans, they refer to themselves as Yoruba,Evwhe,Ga,Asante, Fula,Igbo, Kusasi, Dangomba,Mende, Tutsi,Masai,Kikuyu ect, ect. .The same as in Europe. No European or even Asians call themselves as such, they're either German, English, Dutch, Japanese, Indonesian Indian ect, ect. Ignorant can be a bliss.

@@lordshtee398 So what he has a flat screen tv? Do you think the fairy God mama brought the t.v. You just don't go live people's houses and not offer them something? He should not leave that house without offering them something. Even if they refuse, leave it with one of the women. Life ain't free. My people think of the money you would have spent having to live in a hotel. He is getting a real experience. You don't leave that house before givng them a token appreciation. It is disrespect and bad manners. Everybody hates a free loader. They absolutely expect it, though they want voice it to you. I would not go to anyone's house in the for a barbecue without bringing a bottle a wine or some beer.

I have more African friends than "African American" ones...I've never experienced (nor have my children) this so-called "dislike" people keep talking about. But for those who have....I'd say "don't sweat it!" Most of us have plenty of "African Americans" (even family members) that don't like us!!! Some of us even have family that won't claim us!! So I wouldn't let anyones personal opinion dictate whether or not I claim & accept the culture of my ancestors.

Anthony Mcphail .....I'm so glad that you see "it!!!" We definitely are the same people!!! We still eat some of the same foods (soupa = gumbo), we still have some of the same traditions (respect for elders, although we are moving away from it), some of us still have our reddish/brown skintone (the red Fulani) & swear we're "Native American", LOL!!! Most of us don't know we're the same people because we don't know/mingle with Africans to see & feel our "sameness".....West African food is thee ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! I encourage Black people to give the Asians back their rice!!!! Jollof rice is waaayyy better. Try yassa, chu, domoda.....They'd never go back to chinese!!!

Fredom....Read my comment in its entirety & let me know which part you viewed as being "against" African Americans....I am African American & definitely not against any of my people, wherever they might be. My comment was in response to those that say...."Africans don't like us". Speaking to those that say that...I'm saying that there are African Americans that may not like you but you don't let that dictate how you move about within America. If they feel that Africans don't like them, they should not let that deter them from experiencing Africa. But to each his own...you are entitled to your opinion.
