I don't think these video do the old man justice of how messed up the decapitation scene is. Bro basically sped up his mind so fast (300 times faster if I'm correct) in order to out maneuver the old timer. Unfortunately, the old man was even faster physically, thus the world turning blue. Bro's mind was still accelerated, but his body couldn't keep up. In actuality, the whole decapitation scene took about say, about a second, with the added time of being alive for another 10 seconds. This guy felt that sword slice through his neck slowly for 300 seconds (so 5 minutes) and got stuck as a corpseless head for 50 minutes in is accelerated state. That's why the old timer tells him to reflect on his choices with the extended time he had.

8:10 that ability of his to increase his thought perception and acceleration was boosted even more by hakurou since hakurou's heavenly eye could be used to buff other peoples thought acceleration, so instead of lasting mere seconds like that, he was alive for several minutes before finally going out. but it wasn't minutes for him, his thought perception was extended to extreme levels until mere seconds felt like decades, in his mind entire lifetimes had passed while he was in agony before the end. this is also what rimuru did to clayman later on, when shion started pummeling him like crazy rimuru extended his thought perception to feel the pain for thousands of years in his mind before being allowed to catch up with reality. this is why in just a few seconds shion turned clayman's hair white, he was brought to within an inch of his souls life in an instant and there was nothing he could do about it other than suffer for an eternity.

That's why old man disrespected Youngblood in their duel so bad, cut off his head and told him to think about what he did while his head was detached from his body but before he faded. Also, wanna point out that the opps got this lady Hinata to roll up on Rimuru and take him while they spun his block. And she was so badass that Rimuru didn't win, he used some Clone No Jutsu to distract her and ran. Then his bro be like 'yo, while you were busy with that ho over there, these guys spun the block, you need to get home now'. And then proceed to what you saw. So yea, it was coordinated. Distract HIM and drop nerfs on them so they can do what they did. And, well, I'd say rest of the episode is well deserved. Everyone be eager for Season 3 to drop in a couple of weeks, because rumor has it there's gonna be a rematch between Rimuru and Hinata. And while she was able to catch his fade earlier, he's a demon lord now, and everyone's getting their popcorn ready for that rematch. Odds are, this ain't going to go the way she thinks it will, and payback is gonna be sweet.

Okay there is a detail about this that the anime got wrong that makes the oldhead even scarier is that guy he was fighting blasted his blade out like a gun and broke into thousands of shards faster than the speed of sound as a trick weapon kind of but he slashed all of tem in what looked like one slash but was really multiple slashes faser than even that guy could see. That is also really scary because he has an ability similar to Rimuru where he can speed up his thoughts and perception of time by 1000 (Rimuru has a better version especially since it became 1000000 times faster).
