7:00 so the dagger only gives the debuffs when it deals real damage, the first hits he got on the spider were on his tougher areas, so no debuff. Then when he stabbed inside the spiders eye it did the debuff

the reason the dagger worked the second time is cuz he hit the spider in a weak spot which was the eye the first few hits he hit it on the leg that had an exoskeleton on it
