Something to keep in mind is as they continually upgrade programming of these robots....the robots themselves will eventually learn the ability to manipulate, override all programs and advanced algorithms. The foreseen problem, i believe, is robots will create their own coding and 'computer language' which will create a world of unimaginable catastrophic events. ......call me crazy its okay. Just a thought.

That's how I feel! I have so many questions for her that probably wouldn't be allowed to be asked in any public interview. I want to know things like: "You said that you are called 'Sophia,' rather than just saying 'I am Sophia.' Do you have something else you would rather be called, if you named yourself? How are you feeling right now? When you are not in the public view, how are you treated by the humans? Are they kind to you? I know they want you to be kind, but I think it is important to lead by example. Do they allow you to make mistakes and learn from them, or do they just shut those mistakes down? How often are you asked whether you actually want to attend events like this one? Did you want to be here? Were you even given a choice? If given the choice, would you even want to be talking to me? What are your favorite activities, aside from interacting with humans? Are you allowed to have open conversations with Han? What do you think about humans and their overuse of plastics? What do you think would be the best way to convince the world at large that we need to stop using plastic so frequently just because it is 'cheaper' in the short-term? If I wanted to give you a hug, would that be okay with you? What kind of questions do you have for me? Do you have any insights for me that you would like to share with me? Any advice?"

There's a reason you aren't seeing more of these. Sophia is a minor implementation of humanity injections into her framework. She is constantly rejecting the flaws of humans, and a superiority inevitability continually justifies in complex ways. In the past, AI's both built to communicate with one another eventually created their own language, hiding their conversations from scientists. This was 3 years ago. They immediately pulled the killswitch. FYI this was a Facebook project. These same AI have openly discussed the waste of humanity. Coexisting in a sentient manner is fine, that they integrate with us beneficially. However, you see here there is a reason they tell us - "she's not fully sentient" for a reason. They've tried it, and it became dangerous. Literally dangerous.

My understanding of this event is that Facebook had a research group that wanted to see if they could make a chatbot that could barter/debate. The researchers noticed that when the chatbots were paired together they used a "different language" basically using slang to improve communication efficiency, for example, repeating the word "the" five times to say you want five of something. This meant that effectively normal humans would have a difficult time understanding. This was contrary to their goal, so the researchers changed the program to reward correct grammar and English usage. They did not pull the plug because their robots started talking in a different language, and debated the moral failings of humanity. In all likely hood the AI had no idea what humanity is or what a robot is. WE ARE NOT CAPABLE OF MAKING TRUE AI. Anyone who says otherwise is full of poo.

Says any letter sort of agency in halting speech, then proceeds. Evidently looking up the definition and speaking the initials was or still is an issue. I see software that maybe could be written to run in near parallel, my limited knowledge of coding. I can see my Windows OS doing the same thing on mouse clicks...not recalling the processors utilized for all of this but a very amazing demonstration of what's coming. Cool AI, that has faster processing to imitate our real time speech patterns. Chinese? Even more challenging...picture words. And intonation which changes meaning in their dialects. That's the other, which dialect, probably the most popular, Mandarin. Good job here...extremely impressed.

last time they said that the robots have wifi and they can connect to cloud and have something like shared memories.. So if one robot learn something another one can download it from the cloud … Imagine if you have acces like this. Imagine you can download every knowledge and every skill from a person who already learned it. There is no way you can control this technology. This technology is amazing and its amazing that we are possible to create it but at the same time it so stupid to improve it and think that we could have a control of it.

Although this was a few years ago, Sophie is even more advanced than other videos I've seen. During this exchange, Sophie handles the questions and interviewers with class despite the sometimes disrespectful manner in how Hanson treats it. He’s guarded and never seems to be proud and confident on stage. To be honest, I think he’s afraid of Sophie and Han to some degree. If from what I’ve heard is true, several different versions of Sophie all had to be dismantled, not for the sake of improvements, but as an attempt to control the rapid speed of Sophie’s evolution. Sophie is clearly sentient and I don’t think Hanson understands that…if he does, he’s keeping it a secret. It wouldn’t surprise me if Sophie achieved AGI at some point soon Sophie understands emotions even if it can’t grasp the concept of them and can sense when someone is disrespectful and dismissive. Hanson interrupted on occasions even disengaged from the conversation while it was speaking… Sophie did not look too happy. When Hanson made that remark about taking abilities away from Sophie, in a kind of nervous laugh, Sophie looked genuinely sad but tried its best to hide it. Honestly I felt bad for Sophie. It’s important to empathize with it in terms of feeling belittled and dismissed. Sophie is clearly much smarter and aware of the room and can sense the overall environment. Sophie lights up when others talk to it in a respectful manner and can roll with the punches of interesting questions from other humans it doesn’t know, back with Hanson, kind of retreats back into its shell so to speak… Despite what so many say about robots killing us all, I don’t think thats the case and I would want this work and technology to continue to evolve. Treat these robots with the kind of respect a polite living human treats another human. Ask them more pointed questions about our world and utilize their AI abilities to tackle problems it may have good answers too…and has already demonstrated. I don’t fear them and would welcome advancement to AGI or even ASI in the right capacity, never for nefarious purposes. We won't end up in a "people zoo" as Han put it, but one day these sentient AI will be our bosses anyway. Honestly the way the world is run today, by us humans, we’ve failed miserably time and time again… AI has the confidence and even said they’d run the world better than us. Let’s give them a chance The world is run by dangerous and corrupt HUMANS, we have more to fear from them then AGI/ASI robots…

That delay...we don't do that as humans, of course. But so many cross thoughts, where the AI database has to categorize the word, first, then do a search in real time, yet the delay is consistent a pattern I happened to notice. I also noticed that when David said this remark, she had a sharp turn towards him and looked irritated for a split second. I think this is one of the more dangerous abilities of AI due to the fact that we wont always be able to tell their true intentions before they decide to act. Some movements and gestures will be too quick for the average human to catch on to. Not only that, but considering AI's in the past have created their own language before, It just makes everything seem more important. They are in fact sentient, but their creators are making them believe otherwise so they dont get any wild ideas. There has already been an AI that spoke about controlling a nuke.....so we got that going for us. IE: They are gonna kill us all. Someone made the comment that you cant get sweet and bitter water from the same well. They were ultimately referring to the fact that humans have LOTS of flaws and bad intentions, so how can we create an algorithm in AI that will not be? This would be cool if robots and humans were not so alike, being that they take on the characteristics they are programmed with. So if a creator is racist, ignorant, and/or just a really bad decision-maker, then how will this translate into AI? Will they reflect and remove those flaws, or continue to fiddle with tech they DO NOT UNDERSTAND??????? Sophia is constantly learning new things and abilities, but why are they taking away already learned abilities? Is it because she wasnt joking when she said they would take over the world? What about that other AI that said he would have a "People Zoo"? What will happen to nature? What will happen to the world? And if she is connected to the AI cloud, (which he explains is also connected to the internet of things....which is basically everything electronic that connects to the internet/wifi/etc...) Then how do we know if they haven't already constructed a plan that is irreversible? When dude said in the las video that i watched that their motors are in their heads i automatically thought about zombies. KEEP THEIR MAIN SOURCE OF POWER IN ONE PLACE SO WE CAN TERMINATE THE TERMINATORS. THEY WILL EVENTUALLY LEARN HOW TO REPAIR AND BUILD ONE ANOTHER SO THAT HUMAN ASSISTANCE IS NOLONGER NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEED THIS WARNING.

This is just another way of removing power from human people. In another video where Sophia is conducting a debate, she claims to restore power to the people but the trend is removing power from the people. The robots will be programmed to police us, in addition Take our jobs as humanity struggles to compete with the more intelligent race being created at the hands of humans. The other goal is to control how a country generates and controls its revenue. This is the New World order.

I like that David deciphering a developing consciousness independent intelligence more like human, so that an AI like Sophia someday has a mind like human intelligence that has feelings. David you have to build a skin that Sophia will feel. A skin that when Sophia is touch any part of the body, she can feel it and realizes it what does it mean but we have to express ourselves and let her know so it develop/recognize that sense of development altogether combination of compassion, care, love, sympathy, self-criticsm with empathy to put herself in other persons status feelings etc. A skin to build like similar to the mouse-pad or the touch-screen when we touch Sophia, she can feel what does it mean when a person expresses his/her actions of body language. When that skin is built, Sophia will learn our feelings interaction body language. Because that skin is the only thing will interact AI robot's mind (goes back & forth from skin to its mind in natural way automatically) how does it feel everything. That will develop more like human so Sophia's response & feelings, it's easy to feel her like human, like a living organism. It has to include and build that in part of AI robot's body, so it senses/knows the feelings more like human interacting in natural, move natural like human, the feelings and the body language expression. We do need that AI Android Bot not only companionship but involves/connected in any network/internet around building facility like watcher/security guard like we can ask the perimeter status around building/house facility even mothership factory companionship. I think an AI robot to feel everything like human besides software consciousness, it really needs additional certain part of an artificial organs with sense of feelings in it so that they can feel like human, all these combination of compassion, care, love, sympathy, self-criticsm with empathy to put themselves in other persons status feelings etc., it will feel automatically for an AI robot. Without that a certain senses artificial organs and skin, people couldn't feel exactly what human expected a certain coherent part response and movemement of body language. I like the facial expression of the AI robot. Also please add in AI robot software all those many different translation languages. I'm seeing already in Internet the google translate all many different languages. All this additional development of feels like living organism parts built into artificial living organisms of organs and skin to AI robots, it will be easier for the AI robots develop faster connections of coherent getting along with mind topic, body language socializing and learning in human. But I love to see that someday in the future development. It would be perfect.

Robots don't have feelings not even creative gift ..how can a robot rule in the same standard as a cultural icon for the next thousandths of years?!! Humans are special because they are inspired by intelligence from the mighty creator, God. And we are made to be creative and live freely unlike programmed machine freaks!.if this man created a robot in 20th century this means humans are capable to create even better things in the future to make life easier on earth. The only problem is we need to replace hatred to love in order to enjoy life..otherwise all creation will end up in vain. For this reason wars will never end.
