I don’t have anything against marriage but to my fellow BW, don’t rush or settle into marriage quickly or fast. If you can’t find the right partner, then just stay single. It is better to be single than to be in an unhealthy relationship with the wrong person. And remember, single unmarried women who are child free are happier and live longer than married women who have children. But if you want to get married, make sure you choose the right partner that will make your life easier and better.

I noticed when that video was posted, but since I didn't watch it, I had no idea she was talking about Chrissie. She's said some very problematic things, but that "BW can't grow long hair" video was really upsetting. She admitted that she settled when she married & is still trying to shame single women. It's obvious that she doesn't like her skin tone and features & is projecting her insecurities onto other BW. Many married women are unhappy and resent single childfree women. They try to shame us because we didn't fall into the same traps that they did.

It's really sad that people think that way. Our hair can definitely grow. For some, it's easier than others, but if we find the right techniques and products, and make sure our health and nutrition is on point, we shouldn't have much trouble growing our hair simply for being Black smh. I noticed my hair grow pretty fast when I was mindful of my protein intake and getting in my greens. Long hair isn't the end all, be all. There are plenty of stunning women with short hair by choice.

I was raised by a strong independent never need a naygga 4 ish type momma who forgot to learn me the more feminine traits, how to attract etc plus i was an introverted socially awkward nerd in high-school. I didn't swan until i was abt thirty after losing sum weight but still had stuff to learn. I never wanted kids as an adult and am still not sure about marriage. I always had issues with the availability of bm/ the colorism in movies, especially with a bm lead always being with an exotical (like HITCH) pissed me off. It never occurred to me back then that i could date out. All these issues really didn't have a name back then, it's wonderful to hear you all talking abt then and providing alternatives. ALL OF ur content has helped me fill in a lot of blanks left open from the way i was raised. I super duper appreciate that. To be specific, all of your colorism, bwe-lite, level up and even some of your celebrity commentary. You helped me see that it's ok to be single and child free and not ashamed that my standards are high enough that i won't settle for BS. Younger me felt some kinda way being the only cohort unmarried and no kids. Fast forward they all settled and are unhappy in their way to divorce. I just heard you say that your gonna do other stuff, which is fine. In my opinion, you should just do it on this channel. When you post stuff that isn't my speed (the astrology stuff you posted abt a month ago for example), i was notified that u posted, i still went and like the video and let it play for abt 5 mins so it would help your algorithm. YT keeps eating my comments today so sorry if you see this twice: I'm not telling you what to do with your love life because that is a deeply personal choice. I will say that protection of your finances takes many aspects and you sound like a thoughtful and conceincious person, so I encourage you to work with financial professionals asap, if you haven't already. That way, you have your position secure and if your life changes you don't have to start from there to set that foundation. Treat your estate like it's already like Oprah's and use the laws that protect the rich to protect you as your riches grow. As a young woman, this is a perfect time to secure your $$ house with all the laws allow. I'm sure you will have a happy future.

I cant lie...i listened for a while and was shocked. The attack seemed out of nowhere. I left after about ten minutes. But I think its because the Midwest is not the best for interracial dating ad marriage. The west, SW, Tennessee or NY and more East is better for it. I just left Ohio....they are really behind in race relations.

I’m born and raised in Ohio and I can’t tell. At least not within the last 10 years. The men in my family are the walking advertisement for that. I’m also speaking of observations outside of my family. I especially see it in lower income communities. We already know who makes up a lot of that. I also married out after deciding to divest from a lot of what is bl@ck culture. I went Latin. BW here.

Sometimes I feel like women with children especially unplanned children want you to be miserable like they are. I am married and child free by choice. Yasss to the being hit on my colorist. Why my ex got mad this week because a white man said I ( and other natural hair dark skinned black women) are exotic to him and my ex said no I couldn’t be exotic because I’m dark skinned with kinky hair and no special features. Y’all this was a blonde hair blue eyed white man so obviously I’m the exact opposite of him and what he’s used to. So who was he to discredit him and try to block my compliment. I was like well damn he was colorist, texturist, featurist af for that. He of course is a dark skinned man. The kicker was he said dark skinned men are exotic bc everyone wants them 🥴

I’ll support, I’m ready for content that has absolutely nothing to do with race or dating. I love you and your content, regardless of the subject matter, I even watch your videos responding to people beefing with you, just because I enjoy your personality. I definitely agree with your sentiments in this video, I’m unmarried by choice. I’ve been proposed to 3 times and declined each offer. My current relationship is healthy and happy, he understands that I don’t want to be married, I don’t want to live with a man. So many people keep telling me that I should give him what he wants, and at least move in with him. Why are women always expected to bend to men? If he should start pushing marriage or cohabitation, I’d end the relationship, because clearly we are not compatible anymore.

Just on the hair alone with blacks, shows how much self-hatred we have for ourselves. Ice Cube, the rapper, tried promoting for us guys to stick with our natural hair as well from the 1990s. Good video, Chrissie.

What I cannot stand is the fear-mongering. It’s selfish to get married and have children because you want caretakers. Another fear-mongering tactic is assuming that women are going to be depressed or have mental issues just because they’ve chosen to be alone. NEWSFLASH: There are women who are married with children who suffer from depression because they have nothing going on in their lives besides catering to a husband’s needs. People just need to leave single, happy, child-free women alone!!

On the hair comment- if she had weight loss surgery, then her hair probably suffered. I had a co-worker go through this, and since she's not a self hater she listened to the doc's warnings (this surgery will thin your hair) instead of attacking her hair texture.

I don’t understand why people are so bothered by that alternative lifestyle. I too am child free by choice and don’t want to be a mother. I wouldn’t mind marriage, but it’s not going to kill me if it doesn’t happen people just be mad because they didn’t have the option I guess.

Chrissie, I love you dearly and you are one of my fave of faves but some women wear fake hair because of laziness not self-hatred.
@tripleb19607 ай бұрын
Exactly. Chrissie is wrong on that, though she keeps saying it
@dianasohn25157 ай бұрын
Then why not wear a texture closer to black texture? N also to love yourself is to take care of yourself including your hair. Black women need to be honest with themselves. If u wear your hair in your natural state then u don’t need to put in that much time. U guys just don’t like your natural texture. N yes that’s self hate
@LaReginaPatrizia7 ай бұрын
@@dianasohn2515 The more natural textures are indeed beautiful but they do require more care than the straight ones and let's face it, if you are lazy, you look for the easier option. But we can agree to disagree.
