Yeah exactly, it's indeed a shameful fact for us Indians. Today, Indians feel ashamed in doing almost any Indian stuff. Be it eating rice with hands, speaking pure Hindi (or any of their mother tongue), wearing Indian attires, etc. And I feel really ashamed that rich people (super stars, doctors, musicians, etc.) prefer talking in English even with their children. They should teach their children their own language (Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Malyalam, etc.) because they'll definitely learn English in their schools. We need to learn to respect our culture and our tradition the same way other countries' citizens do.😌😌

Stanley Jaxen . Yup agree with you to a certain degree. Yoga etc is big in the west due to it’s mysticism. Also the fact that the world is a global village now, so people have taken their culture everywhere they’ve gone . But to say that churches would be closing is ludicrous. Do you know how strong the Christian faith is now in 2020 ? As a matter of fact, there are so many people of Indian origins who after moving to the west have become Christians and are actively involved in the church. As for Indians speaking English, you’ve used the right word “ WERE “ a British colony . Most Indians consider it a privilege to speak in English and go to English medium schools even though the British left ages ago ( not everyone may agree with me here but many aren’t being realistic )

Just Imagine the divine power of this language.. over 1500 years of systematic efforts were made to erase it.. first by the Mughals, then by the Church (British, Portuguese etc).. and yet, it shines like the Diamond it Is!! The internet will revive and put this "Dev-bhasha" (Language of the Gods) in the right place: The hearts of ALL good people of the world.
