As an Indian, it's a shame for me that I need to look at subtitles to understand my own language. Indians should incorporate Sanskrit in the curriculum.

sanskrit is in the curriculum, probably you went to the wrong school. Almost all indian schools have option for a 3rd language either sanskrit or foreign french, german etc This interview was quite easy for me to understand, though I'm not fluent in the language.

@@prefersongs1666 their pronounce is good also you can't speak sansrkita with hindi accent coz there's a "schwa" deletion in hindi or any other north indian languages. Like y'all say ram, krishn, mahabharat it's not correct, in sansrkita it's rama, krishna, Mahabharata, ramayana don't speak sanskrita with accents that's cringe.

I want a country where all pure souls live . They practice meditation yoga talk in Sanskrit and be spiritual pure soul. There are many Islamic and Christian countries. Then why not a small but beautiful country where any pure soul can live and follow old सनातन वैदिक संस्कृति

Yeah exactly, it's indeed a shameful fact for us Indians. Today, Indians feel ashamed in doing almost any Indian stuff. Be it eating rice with hands, speaking pure Hindi (or any of their mother tongue), wearing Indian attires, etc. And I feel really ashamed that rich people (super stars, doctors, musicians, etc.) prefer talking in English even with their children. They should teach their children their own language (Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Malyalam, etc.) because they'll definitely learn English in their schools. We need to learn to respect our culture and our tradition the same way other countries' citizens do.😌😌

Stanley Jaxen . Yup agree with you to a certain degree. Yoga etc is big in the west due to it’s mysticism. Also the fact that the world is a global village now, so people have taken their culture everywhere they’ve gone . But to say that churches would be closing is ludicrous. Do you know how strong the Christian faith is now in 2020 ? As a matter of fact, there are so many people of Indian origins who after moving to the west have become Christians and are actively involved in the church. As for Indians speaking English, you’ve used the right word “ WERE “ a British colony . Most Indians consider it a privilege to speak in English and go to English medium schools even though the British left ages ago ( not everyone may agree with me here but many aren’t being realistic )

Sanskrit always sounds so rich, beautiful, accent neutral and intellectual it's our civilizational language . We have to revive it and make it our national language and every government document and notice should written in sanskrit. But sadly I have to write this in English The language which our colonisers forced us to read and write even after independence we never independent mentally😒.

Indians can barely find a lingua franca for their own nation and you think it's shameful if Indians can't speak a language that is not as popular back then?

actually, instead of Hindi, Sanskrit should be our national language because the essence Sanskrit is found in every Indian languages especially in south Indian also... Malayalam is almost 60% Sanskrit in it ... and its a classical language too...

@@ArthoGamer it's not a national language, but Hindi is the most widely spoken language in India. So Sanskrit should be the national language because most of the Indian languages had Sanskrit influences and vice -versa.

First of all Hindi itself isn't the National language of India. So, please forget about Sanskrit being the National Language of India. And moreover Sanskrit doesn't even have it's own scripts to write. So SAD🤡

@@Cezhiyan07 tamil is a useless language out of your state . Only sanskrit can connect whole India. If you read sangam literature you can find lot of sanskrit words too. You guys removed every sanskrit orgin words only during so called tamil purification movement. Even your current tamil script is orginated from brahmic script, which used to write sanskrit too. So better luck time next Dravidian fool 🤡

Just Imagine the divine power of this language.. over 1500 years of systematic efforts were made to erase it.. first by the Mughals, then by the Church (British, Portuguese etc).. and yet, it shines like the Diamond it Is!! The internet will revive and put this "Dev-bhasha" (Language of the Gods) in the right place: The hearts of ALL good people of the world.
