Taylor Schabusiness had been in an intimate relationship with Shad Thyrion, before things went wrong one night while fooling around. Very wrong. Following up with Taylor, she would be revealed to be a remorseless and evil psychopath.

Total side note, but this is a great example of how everyone reacts/shows signs of shock in different ways. You’d expect the mother who found her son in hysterics. She literally found her child’s head in a bucket. You can see on the body cam footage that she is scared but relatively calm. People always say “they are acting too calm!” and will say that’s a sign of guilt. The mother is completely innocent but is seemingly fine. Shock can really show itself in a million different ways.

Completely true! A very long time ago (36 years), I found my 5 week old, absolutely adored, breastfed, 7lb 14 oz at birth, baby son dead in his basket. Initially I screamed, my husband called an ambulance, all normal. Then, as the ambulance shot into action, the guy working on our beautiful, precious boy fell over. And to our absolute horror, both of us laughed. Over the years, I’ve seen many people accused of crimes they may not have committed. Often they are judged for their strange reactions. I often think how I could have been judged by an automatic response. I’m now a 59 year old retired teacher, mother of three adult sons, grandmother to our beautiful granddaughter. I’m a normal, boring retiree, who adores her family. My husband from all that time ago is still my husband. He survived a month in a Covid coma, so we are sometimes very lucky. Anyway, I agree so much with your point! Thank you for making it!

Its so disappointing how unaware people are about mental illness. Our country fails so hard at mental health treatment, it's an absolute joke. Everybody believes people should be punished, instead of rehabilitating and especially in a case of mental illness, fixing those problems. Nah, lock her up instead. I understand somebody lost their life but this situation is not black and white, have some nuance to your thoughts people.

I had a few study hall periods with her. We would discuss about video games sometimes. She played quite a bit of Xbox. She was funny yet reserved. Never have I EVER thought she would do something like this to Shad. I knew him but we never had a single interaction. People loved Shad though. R.I.P Shad. Life is pretty surreal sometimes.

When my dad called to tell me my cousin had died (we were very close, was like one of my own brother) I was very calm and direct answering him. I was surrounded by friends, and to them it looked like I was having normal conversation with my dad. I didn’t cry or grieve until two days after we buried him, then I had a breakdown. The shock numbs you and can put you in a state of denial until that veil is lifted. Some family members called me out for my cold behaviour during the funeral whilst my family were visibly grieving, but I was wailing on the inside.

Absolutely, I tend to feel that "calm" isn't necessarily incriminating. What does get me, is when the caller is "casual". Like "yeah idk hes just dead" or what have you. That's just a feeling though, it's almost impossible to know what's really going on in someone's head. That's why I'm grateful for forensics, cuz "feelings" just don't cut it.

Usually killers black out during those times, because they go through a rush of adrenaline and then they get into a state of shock. So it's normal for killers to say that they don't remember that much. It's such a shocking experience to kill someone, so the mind tries to protect them from the trauma. But yeah, of course they can remember if they think about it. It's just that they don't want to.

If it is one of my weak spots, I pretend like I'm looking, but then ask someone for a second opinion so I will be prepared for what I'm about to see. I saw something in nursing school that almost made me quit, but TBH it was probably one of the worst things I've seen. One does it with a pen, one does it with their hands. One gets prison, another gets Nobel peace prizes. If you think this is bad, try having your entire family blown up at a wedding celebration by a US drone. Then watching the commander of that drone get a peace prize. No Doubt this poor woman was feeling as much pain as I would but she probably had to shut off in order not to lose her mind. I had a horrific event happen to me and I was able to essentially stay calm afterwords even when I was talking to the cops at the hospital, I was told o sounded robotic almost but they knew it was a trauma response and nothing felt real at that time anyways . OMG, the camera guy bit. I laughed so loud my husband called out asking what it was from the other room of the house. I yell back, "That Chapter!" and he responds "Someone got life insurance?" Too much.

When I heard about this story I purposely didn't look up the details on it because it was all coming out at the time. I knew this video was going to be out soon, so I waited for it. And here it is! Thanks Mike! Now I get to hear it from start to finish for the first time. Joy. Edit: holy f**k... what did I just watch

Having worked in a secure forensic psychiatric unit in the UK it is my opinion that she is certifiably insane. Her whole affect and demeanour is exactly like our “service users” as they were referred to. The casual description of the murder (“I was sucking and cutting”), her open explanation of the whole thing. Her bizarre affect and facial expressions in court, However, it is still clearly the case that she should be incarcerated for the rest of her life. An extremely dangerous individual.

Maybe she is, maybe not. But unless they can demonstrate that her insanity specifically prevented her from comprehending the morality of her actions, and the gravity of the consequences, than it would irrelevant. Which does happen, you see a "not guilty by reasons of insanity" on rare occasion. But not usually. Because as im sure you know, millions of people suffer with mental illness and DONT cut people's heads off. And also because, just like any other person, theyre capable of fully understanding that something is wrong and deciding to do it anyways. Unless her insanity means she didnt know that she was cutting off a head, or that it was wrong to cut off a head, or that he would die once she cut off his head... Then shes still responsible for the actions. And shes still a murderer.

@karenamyx2205 I think the original commenter was referencing the legal definition of insanity, where one is incapable of understanding their actions are wrong, not using insanity to mean mental illness.

@karenamyx2205 If a chain's strength is measured by its weakest link, how come we measure human sanity differently? That is, how do we know that people are at all times comprehending the morality of their actions, and the gravity of the consequences of those actions. Why isn't it possible to believe that with the drugs that she checked out momentarily regardless of her later testimony. Gray as hell to me.

@@Adog5454What does tits have to do with any of this? Poor men indeed, and considering the stats around murder and domestic victims, poor women too. Be careful who you let get close to you.

I absolutely agree with you! I'm pretty sure she was aroused while telling the detective what and how she did those things.

I imagine, being her lawyer in court, turning to the Jury and saying, "it's not Schabusiness." I would've been kicked out of the court room for laughing so damn hard.
