I agree. My bfs ex is a classic case of narcissism. After 10 years together, not only did she cheat on him for 2 years, but she then left him only after she felt he was no longer useful to her (and also because she finally graduated from her studies and landed a job - using laptop and smartphone he bought for her to help her find a job). She then even did a smear campaign against him so people would view her actions against him as justified. When I met my bf it was 1 year after their nasty breakup and suddenly I found out she had been talking shit about me around their mutual friends (even went as far as saying I am desperate for wanting him because she had been telling him and others that he will have a hard time to find gf and he will never be able to move on from her). When they were together she would constantly put him down and discredited him. It did affect my relationship with him in the early days as he suffered low self-esteem and struggled to accept my praises and affection but we are improving our relationship and have been happy together for 4 years by now.

Mike - Shanna’s Mom own Stampin’ Up and I was demonstrator for Stampin’ Up years ago. Shanna’s parents, Shellie and Sterling had me fooled. Knowing that they will not let their Grandchildren speak to their siblings tells me all I need to know. I’m praying for Justice for Jared. The Gardner’s could at least let the siblings have a relationship! Shana better hope she doesn’t get the death penalty because her Mom and Dad’s money will not be able to stop that. This case makes me so mad! It is so senseless!!! Jared should be here with his family!

We do like our death penalty here in FL (not me particularly but the state itself) but women rarely get it. And of the few that do, most are later re-sentenced to life w/out parole. The last time a woman was actually executed in FL was 2002 and it was Aileen Wuornos, the serial killer. Before that, only 1 or 2 other women had ever been actually executed. Currently only 3 women are on death row here but they were all sentenced relatively recently (in the past 10-15 years) and because the justice system moves so slow, there's every chance that at some point they too will get re-sentenced to LWOP. The death penalty is kind of a hot issue here right now because our shithead governor just decided on his own that we no longer need a unanimous jury decision to impose the death penalty. Instead, it now only take an 8-4 majority for the death penalty to be imposed. Only one other state does death penalty by majority and it's Alabama, who requires a 10-2 majority. Which is only slightly better. The problem is the notoriously corrupt, crappy and unbalanced justice system in both states. Investigators zeroing in on a suspect immediately and refusing to actually investigate, but only do whatever will prove their "theory" correct to get a conviction, DAs that withhold information and evidence to gain convictions or either agency flat out manufacturing evidence to serve their purposes, minorities and the poor getting bullied into taking pleas and getting harsher sentences for lesser crimes than others, judges who believe they are God and that nothing they say or do could ever be wrong- even when proven to be just that. And a hundred other reasons why this approach is horrible. It's been later proven that we've put innocent people in prison- sometimes for decades- and some even to death. Until some measures are taken to assure we stop doing this- and absolutely nothing has been done, the injustice of our "justice system" just continues to degrade more every year- we shouldn't be doing anything else.

@@mommy2libras Look at all of these comments convicting this woman to death, before they've seen a shred of evidence. Our justice system is supposed to work on the basis of INNOCENT before proven GUILTY. As you can see, that's simply not the case. They want to believe that it's something salacious. They want the witch hunt. I truly feel bad for the innocent people who've been put to death or are serving life in prison. The perception of Guilty before proven innocent is the reason why it happens. I cannot even imagine how difficult it is for a defense to choose a fair and impartial jury in this country. If the police point the finger at someone, the people believe it without question. God forbid if the accused ever experimented with drugs or alcohol. If they have tattoo's or piercings, my God, they're probably a serial killer. If it's a woman, and she's had sex with more than one partner in her entire life, she must be a black widow. All these things that these people commenting have done, they immediately judge others for, it's FASCINATING!

Why do you malign Shelli and Sterling Gardner based on the actions of their 36 year old daughter. I think it is a case of good girl gone bad. Shanna was sent on her Mormon mission to Spain out of high school and the minute she came back she was married to Jared. I always thought it was an arranged deal but I don't know. You don't know jack about what is going on. I'm sure the Gardners want to believe their daughter is innocent as any parent would. The half-sibling thing is complicated to say the least, then add Mormonism to it and who can say what their church says about this.

Can't help but feel a quote from a famous psychologist that fits this case; A kind of jealousy. Mothers are easily jealous of their sons friends if they are exceptionally successful. Usually a mother loves herself in her son more than she loves the son himself. -Friedrich Nietzsche Seems as though she knew she couldn't compete with Jared. Swiftly followed up by leaving the State, keeping her kids away from both Jared's family and her own so the kids wouldn't be able to compare her love with any other family member.

This case hits me different. This man, this Dad. He should be here making the world a better place. Life is so fragile. His life mattered so much. His smile and warmth, his love towards his children and his beloved wife who had to burry him. I can't even imagine. If we could all have a Jared Bridegan in our lives I'd imagine a better place for all of us. I can see it in his pictures and videos. His wife, his love, she did him right by not giving up. I also learned that their baby girl (the at the time 2 y/o) had to go to some type of counseling due to the trauma she faced. It's beyond heartbreaking 💔 that he's gone... and it is beyond evil who could have done this. He's looking after his children now from heaven. Too many evil ppl in this world. I hope his kids go on to be good people, like him.. I hope they can reconnect with eachother bc they've been separated. This is just so tragic. God bless Jared and his loved ones. Those poor kids. First, the twins lose their dad, and now they are gonna lose their mother. I’m not sure that the grandmother is suitable to be raising the children. 😢

She raised an evil murderer. Kirsten or the paternal grandparents need to get custody ASAP!

Your constant release of new or rarely heard of cases, along with the quality of every video, makes this channel my favorite crime channel on KZbin by far. Keep it comin Mike!

Shanna mom looked so crazy 🤣 in the other videos I've watched didn't have Shanna charged yet but this 1 did and I'm glad she would be the number 1 suspect in my mind. Really sad for all of his children and his wife and family. We love you too Mike 💖

One thing I will never understand is murder. The lives that it destroys beyond the victim is just tragic. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends. RIP.

@14:14 hahahah I love you Mike. It's wild, I grew up with Stampin' Up scrapbooking materials... knowing their daughter is a murderer makes me feel gross. I feel so badly for those twins after watching the full body cam footage of Shana's arrest...she certainly made sure their lives will be sans a father or mother....tragic.

Those poor kids, not just the twins. Lost a parent or both because she didn't want to share them.
