i don’t like though that because queenie is black “she’s a foreigner”. like she isn’t a foreigner she was born in korea, was raised in korea and is of korean ethnicity so i think it would hurt to be catagorised as a foreigner. like ik being called a foreigner isn’t an insult or anything bad but in my perspective she isn’t one. she’s a native korean like everyone else she just has a different colour skin. also i’d like to add that if she was half korean and half japanese or half chinese or a similar east asian race, she wouldn’t be called a foreigner because she’d still look the same as everyone else but that shouldn’t make a difference.
@mochihamster2794
@mochihamster2794 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah she is not a foreigner to call her that is factually incorrect and blatant discrimination. She is ethnically and nationally Korean, being biracial doesn’t take away from that.
@elielfelipecampos8527
@elielfelipecampos8527 2 жыл бұрын
There are not much black people in South Korea, especially born in there, that's why she thought Queenie was a foreigner, because she doesn't look like what most korean people look. And about other east asians, they are racially closer to Korea, so obviously a biracial east asian would pass as a Korean easier than a blasian.
@roarnell
@roarnell 2 жыл бұрын
@@elielfelipecampos8527 she thought Queenie was a foreigner because she thinks Queenie is black, that's it, that's all. And there are more than enough black people born and raised here in South Korea that it is false to believe there aren't black, white, or biracial Koreans. A biracial person doesn't look like the Korean Asian aesthetic out here as they usually look "unique", "different", or a "threat". Biracial Koreans with a black or white and Asian parent will look biracial or southeast Asian when there is a black parent. Also mixing Asian with Asain does not make a person biracial.
@elielfelipecampos8527
@elielfelipecampos8527 2 жыл бұрын
@@roarnell considering that black people in Korea is a pretty recent thing, it's understandable why she though Quennie was a foreigner, because far most koreans never met blasians before, it's still uncommon and you might think they are because as westerns we pay more attention to blasians than koreans do. Remember, racial mixture is a new thing there.

One thing that would have been awesome is if the title said blasian. So that people know that she is biracial. I think a lot of people have never really seen or talked with a blasian before. Yeah. But counterpoint, in america people discriminate and categorize based on the old "one drop rule." If you have one drop of african blood, then you're black. That's still the way things are in the united states. Old beliefs and prejudices have a wretched, iron grip.

It would be great if Queenie can become a famous model. People will look upon her with Awe as opposed to what she grew accustomed to growing up. That would be a wonderful turn of events. ❤️

Telling a blind person to "try harder" is a new level of dumb ... even more stupid than saying "stop being gay". Honestly, how intellectually challenged does one have to be, to believe that can possibly work? And how unfeelingly cruel to *actually say it out loud* to an afflicted person? The mind boggles.

Your thumbnail gives a bad impression of the video. She’s not black she’s biracial, saying “black girl” dismisses her Asian heritage and that’s part of the problem. Please fix it.

Saying just biracial is also dismissing her experiences with both sides of her races, the title should instead say black Korean because biracial is not a damn race.

you know, its surprising. but lot of people actually thought blind people are stupid. idg their logic tbh. I never called people stupid, but bruh. thats the stupidest thing I've heard in my life.

I don't like the way that title is and portrays these two individuals. Blind people are of any color, any race, any visual impaired-ness, and this sight-seeing individual is beautiful.
