My favorite jest strat that I pulled was the whisper strat I only whisper. No talking in day chat. I flirt, I ask questions, I make friends, I make enemies. All through whispers. It’s gotten me killed a couple times but other times they assume I’m a vet. Usually they’ll get tired of my harassment and hang me. 💀 It’s cheap. It’s dirty. And I love it.

I once straight claimed arsonist, going N1 - 1 N2 - 2, etc, as Jester and got hit by Coven N2 with my vest then was hung day 3. Did the same thing in the same lobby a second game in a row and won again.

​@@Vestige_it truly depends on the Jester's judgment in that end. Usually a Jester will go for town powers OR people that try to call out the Jester game; basically gimping their chance of winning. Same for Executioners tormenting, town powers or someone trying to sabotage their win. If I was Pipton here, either the Jailor (that was known) or 11,in that order.

I remember when I started to play tos1 my first game was jester, I was 1. I claimed sheriff and lucky me picked the jailed person on accident. When I got upped I just went "rookie mistake I'm new :( " that was my first and fastest win ever since.

It used to prioritize tpow then tp then ti then ts whether it was intended or a bug from importing the btos2 versions of several roles I have no idea I just know that it had and that even 7 others had noticed the priorities it had.

Ive played tons of tos2 and even more tos1 and I feel like somethings gone awry with Jester. Im seeing more and more games recently where players just stay silent, get voted up and guiltied because they dont claim, making them win. Its essentially a full-proof strat as you cant argue to inno that. Now I dont know if this was a thing that happened in tos1 much but I never really saw it, just a shame that the role that can cause so much chaos has been used a lot weaker recently, thats why its so great seeing you play it well, causing the chaos it deserves. Sidenote: I despise (!!!) the entire "give jest the win" idea. If jester has played so badly that its obvious not just that theyre evil, but specifically that theyre jester, they dont deserve that win imo, but maybe thats just me

Tbf, at least in the games that I played TOS1 had a lot of giving jest the win, even encountered people that thought it was cruel not to give them the win even when they played obvious Jest (or outright claimed it on stand) or when they didn’t even act sus.
