Of COURSE he's going to be nice to his two henchmen who took care of his one and only threat that was taking down his whole operation! If any of his henchmen survived after failing, normally an evil mastermind would be "you have FAILED me for the LAST TIME!" and then he would press a big red button and a hole would open up in the floor beneath them and then they'd fall into a shark tank or something. @@ivanstrydom8417 I can appreciate either form of sarcasm, but I think Joel's secret is that the intention behind what you call awkwardness isn't to create humouristic effects, but simply to focus on what's important without shame about the limitations of the production setting (and then emphasise this stance by leaving in imperfect line deliveries and the like). Joel seems like the type of (film) artist who is really intent on showing off his (and his team's) direction/camera/screenplay skills to the point where he completely disregards the potential polish for it, because the core of the message already has so much to offer, and he would rather produce volume of that to give his audience something to find that they like, and to show off all sorts of styles of film genre to present and stories to tell, than invest everyone's time and effort into details and have every production take five times as long to complete. The honesty of that message helps make the presentation as clumsy self-aware humour less desparate than it would be in something like the Office, or KZbin channels made by 16-year-olds trying to force an easy laugh by "random and loud is funny".

So true that the Ai only seems quick when you are actively fighting. But as soon as you stop, the ai will just wait a few seconds before attacking.
@masift14943 жыл бұрын
Yeah exactly. I feel like that's because many AI's reacts to what inputs you do. So if you don't put any inputs, it's kinda confused and maybe also gives you a chance to do something. I'm sure it varies from game to game, but I remember in one of the smash bros games, if you literally sat there and did nothing vs a cpu fighter, they'd act very weirdly. Most of the time they'd hit you like a couple times and then run away or shield, but sometimes they would just jump around you, shield, roll away, hit you once and then shield, idk. (also depended on bot difficulty of course) I just know many AI's are programmed to respond to certain player inputs in certain ways, so when you do nothing, they might act differently.

That would be a really cool hardcore feature for TES6 or something; If you die in hardcore mode, you respawn as an unnamed character to witness the aftermath of your death. You can't do any of the main quests anymore but you can still level up and do side quests if you choose to "persist in the doomed world you have created" since "the thread of prophecy is severed" with (your) character's death. That way you can still continue a hardcore save but also have to live with the consequences

That's the ending of the original Get Carter, but it's more of a revenge movie.

An Evangelion-like thing where everyone dies and discusses about the ethics of revenge and if all the killing and punching was worth it while figuring out the afterlife and what does it even mean to be or have been or whatever

I mean people always talk about wanting more originality in storytelling, what about if the John Wick saga ended this way? At the end of the next one some random mook just shoots or stabs him when he messes up. Not even an elite assassin. That's it. You can't say it would be the standard ending.
