One day I just lay in bed in despair and thought how could I ever get out of this relationship and suddenly out of the blue I had an epiphany, that the guy I'm in a relationship with is actually a narcissist! I just realized something. I loved her more than she loved herself. Think about that for a minute! There in “lies” the problem. A black hole of love so strong that I actually came out the other side of it. All the laws I thought I knew didn’t exist. I tried to make them fit. And they never could. As I got sucked past the event horizon. I thought my weight would crush me. Only to find that a whisper saved me and casted me from the distorted vortex into the galaxy of stars where I now sit in awe. Miracles happen. Thank you Andrew and family. My narc mother showed up again love bombing in texts. She offered to send me “some documents and pictures” that I’d asked for in the past to try to lure me into starting the cycle again. I declined but thanked her for the offer and bid her goodbye. Sure enough the abusive texts came accusing me of being ungrateful; the facade dropped remarkably quickly. I ignored the insults, didn’t respond and blocked her. To my amazement, I felt indifferent and went about my day.

Before I realised that nothing was going to change I fell for the hoover way too many times; when he said he missed me and wanted a second chance, that he thought I was the best thing that ever happened to him - you know all that shit. I felt I was in the middle of a dark maze surrounded by mayhem, and I couldn't find a clear way out. I had shed way too many tears and I was sick of all his toxic energy. The verbal violence soon turned into psychal. He kicked me out and kept all my stuff - everything! He ran his own company and I was office admin, 2IC. He has a lot of material items - so what! He's a loser! I intend on bettering myself everyday. It's not easy to stay positive all the time but that is a part of life. I feel like I am starting to breathe and live again. Thanks so much Andrew. I divorced my narcissist husband 2 years ago. When we were married he spent $20,000-$30,000 per year on his hobbies! One of the reasons I left. He's dated at least multiple women before our divorce was even finalized. His girlfriend now that he started seeing close to a year ago he bragged to me how she is rich. And he was always treated me mean until the last few months. He has even said he is thinking about wanting to reconcile with me. But then he said he was going to have to go back to work because he needed money. I'm now sure that his new supply won't give him her money. So he is love bombing me to get me back for my money.

I was a people pleaser in the past. I would do things, because I wanted people's approval. I'm a slow learner. I let people use me. I couldn't say no. People would take advantage of me. I found that people would have an expectation of me, to do things for them. If I did happen to say no, on occasion. I was made to feel guilty that I had turned them down. This went on for a long time. Now I'm aware of what I was doing, and im no longer anyone's dogs body. I have learnt to decide when to say NO. I choose what I want to do. I was with one for 9 years, well I stayed for 9 yrs, for legal and income issues. I would tell him I was using him and I was making him move out when I didn't need him anymore. He didn't even care! He was saving up money, he kept his bankbook in locked up in his truck, accidentally left it on my bed, his balance was $13,000! And made me feel bad when we went to store once a month and the bill was $200! He would scream at me all the way home. I finally got him out last December. He came by to see our dog a couple months later. I have no transportation. Me and my daughter are stuck here, can never get anywhere, I asked for a ride to store. I knew better. He's been around almost everyday since then! I'm having to move out of state in April next yr when my lease is up! He's treating me worse than when he lived here!!

He works security in my complex and I see sometimes him when I’m out walking my dog or going to activities here. And he “patrols” my neighborhood. It does bother me a little but as I learn and grow it will bother me less. I refuse to limit my comings and goings because of him and I refuse to move. The narc reappearing in my life simply affords me the opportunity to demonstrate how I feel/think/view the narcissist. I will ignore her and if that isn't possible I will laugh in her face. She's subhuman as far as I'm concerned. All narcissists are subhuman and that's a fact. Treat them as the cockroaches they are and spray them with bug spray or step on them and squash them metaphorically speaking of course. Live your best life and continue to heal. The narc never, ever let's go of YOU, and what they think is their possession. Sibling sent her neighbor over again after 1yr/6mo total no contact to bring a Christmas gift, and in the card the neighbor (my sister) states: "Jayne, we think of you often, without any friends we know you're lonely" I mean you cannot make this stuff up. I have to move out of state, possible name change to get away from her and the rest of the "family" aka flying monkey's.

I was ready to throw up the stop sign at the slightest sign of disrespect or attempt to devalue me. We spoke for about fifteen minutes and then she left. Guess she wanted to feel me out. How did she get that way? Who raised and educated her? Narcissistic personality disorder is said to usually start very young because of insecurities created. Also, teenagers can show higher levels of narcissism that can be changed as they age if you talk to them about the behavior. How old is your daughter?

It happened to me few days ago. Just when I started to forget about him more often during the day he texted me some empty words about how much he loves me and worries about my health (nothing about leaving me with two children after 8 years of emotional abuse) and I had a breakdown, I cried, had panic attacks, couldn't sleep, eat... But it is passing now (it took about 3 days to regain balance). I knew it would happen, but still it was very, very painful. Anyways - 5 months after a discard and soldiering on.

I was so traumatized by this narcissistic man, I will NEVER get in another relationship and I will never answer any calls or messages from them. I'm healing and living my life and will never trust anyone to be honest. The love bombing is a real thing, Andrew. I would have never believed it was possible, before him, but, I can see it now. Im blocked on social media but a few months back, his name appeared on the list of people I may know, and his best friends named appeared the next day. You can't see someone's name or profile, unless you had been unblocked for a second. As I'm sure everyone knows so I know I was being watched. Our anniversary is coming up on Sept 6, and it's a stressful time, but I'll continue to heal. Thank you Andrew

Then let my guard down when one ex npd friend called unannounced, thought he had changed and i let my guard down. Nothing changes with these vermin. I’m so glad this time he has not come back. 3mths no contact. I tightened my boundaries so much. And I agree they can sense your energy, he always came back all the other times because I was still confused. Hurt. Missing him. This time I feel none of those things. I know deep in soul I did all I could. Nothing I did was wrong or right. It’s nothing but chaos and pain. I chose myself this time and while sometimes I feel lonely, I don’t miss him. Not in the least.

Fortunately, so far so good and I’ve had no hoover or reappearance and 9 months has passed. He’d get a shock if he did see me now - I look better than I did in the 12 years I was with him (to be expected obviously). Living in the same (small) city however, I’m always aware I could bump into him any day but my indifference now means I simply couldn’t care less and I certainly don’t need or want his negativity anywhere near me🙏💙🙏

Everybody on this site has been there, where you are, to lesser or greater degrees! We're all in one stage of healing or another. The toxicity in our souls has to GO! There is a big or small kernel of HOPE in each and every comment we find here - even in your seemingly hopeless one. Yours makes me look at the little progress I've made and rejoice that I'm one small bit better than I was yesterday! THIS is a very GOOD place to be, to heal, as I am, incrementally. Some days are more promising and healing than others. Some days are still a fog for me. I think you'll find that, too. The human person was created to be whole. We were made to be self healing, physical wounds as well as those that are soul deep. Where there is life, where there is God, where there are wise and caring travelers with us in this journey of life, there IS healing. It's not just for the rest of us. It's for YOU!
