Maybe it's just my limited experience with RPG games, but what game(s) has T-posing and how common is it?
@Amaror2 Жыл бұрын
@@WritingFighter It's not a feature of games, it's a bug. A T-Pose is the default stance of any model, because when they are standing in a T-Pose, the artist working on a model has access to all the places on it. If the arms were down, they would have trouble working on the arm pits for example. You don't typically see this in games because they are always doing an animation, like walking or even just a standing idle animation. But if something bugs and they can't do their animation properly for whatever reason, they will often revert to their default stance, ie the T-Pose.

There are tons. Watch a few boundary break videos, whenever there's a cutscene characters often move wildly around the room from one view to another. You're not supposed to see characters zipping about, but it's pretty standard practice for some reason when people make these scenes. Some zip to new positions, some disappear entirely, some animate in strange ways when you're not looking, it's a madhouse where the camera isn't looking sometimes.

Wow. hands down to this masterpiece, from Brit's acting, Alan's panicking, background NPC's awkward moments, to Ben's walkout and even Rowan's being there, just wow! now it makes total sense why sometimes NPC does T-pose, players should be more considerate about NPC's script. Lol

Dark Age of Camelot. My friend and I are hunting giant carnivorous mushrooms when two factions of NPCs started a fight that grew into a skirmish that grew into a battle of at least 100 NPCs per side. We stopped hunting for mushrooms and sat watched for about 15 minutes and taking a few bong hits. Memories.

I love Ben's acting like a complete prima donna and getting angry with Greg for not doing his job as the main quest NPC 😂 Also Britt just standing there all expectantly waiting for something to happen is definitely something I do in RPGs and now I feel bad for all the NPCs I've traumatized... 😅

I can relate. My favorite is in RPG's where your supposed to be running through a major battlefield ( usually the kind where your the main party rushing to the center) and you see two solders fighting. The fighting comes off more as a choreograph as they both just do the same movements endlessly, especially when they hit each other and grunt lol.
@phoenixrising1992 Жыл бұрын
Heh, turns out all the NPC's are sentient and self aware in some way. They're all actors. Well, except Baelin, he actually just goes fishing everyday. Edit: Thinking about it. Greg really dropped the ball there. You should never, ever, EVER break character when something really dramatic is going on in the main quest or story.

After the “I’ll be in my trailer” line, I have to imagine these are the same self-aware, actor NPCs Ben & Adam play (which should make this that unpaid role for Adam 😂)
@Lillyluri Жыл бұрын
Now I really want an RPG where the NPCs are all actors and if you act too randomly or waste too much time or you're just too funny, they may break character. Or generally talk about you. Or if you sneak back after a battle, you can see them tidy up and help each other back to their feet. Edit: and the BBEG is the cutest caretaker for all the NPCs, all factions. ❤

I do this all the time and will stick around characters till they stop talking in many games. On rare ocassion, the characters turn to comment at you if you are standing near them or looking at them which just deepens the whole thing.

This happens all the TIME in ESO and sometimes I sit there like this. They did such a great job with background interactions like this, and sometimes you can even jump in! I'm a new player so I haven't seen all of it, however. My favorite stuff so far is seeing players get chased by guards! Really funny when you see guards and merchants try to enact justice on a player.
