It was called the Fender Amplicaster. There was a Fender Custom Shop Telecaster modified to look like a Fender Silverface era amplifier. That Telecaster had the grill cloth on the bodie, used Fender amp knobs and even had a red jewel lamp that illuminated.

Here for the SG. yeah, sort of a mess but i bought 'one' '75, a Gibson SG Standard is being restored. Just hanging on the rack, step by step at a local shop. Complete and i bought it. Price, $150 with a crack in the back and the neck set flat so action was high. Sold it and bought a Strat. Should have fixed the SG. Guy who bought it fixed it. Mutual friend said it played like a Les Paul. It was a '64, one of the best selling guitars in Gibson's history.

My local music shop use to have a Fender Tele hanging above the entrance door, and it had the grill of a fender amp on the face of it. It’s amazing how left handed guitars just seem to throw everyone off, not just Trogly...but major guitar manufacturers even! Just look at the choices lefty’s get compared to right handed players. It’s ridiculous. Sure, you can get your basic, very nice, Tele Pro 2 in a couple colors, the most standard colors, but beyond that, you’re modding stuff if you want even the slightest change to that basic model. It’s frustrating, there’s a list of guitars I would get if they made them in lefty! Trogly can barely even describe one just because it’s a lefty, so it’s not like I’d expect Fender or Gibson to change anytime soon.
