Lol! I kinda dig it. But then again, I suck at altissimo on the sax, so it hits home a bit, despite the different instrument. Edit: Of course this would not be altisissimo on a sax anyway, this sounds more like biting the reed (which is easy)...but you know.

Impressive but very high notes should be short to complement the piece but in this case he maybe showing off.

He definitely was showing off. John Madrid was a legendary lead player, capable of way more musical and tasteful work. He was likely just being silly here for the heck of it.
